I know this is a popular conspiracy theory when it comes to places like Popeyes (and Cane's for that matter).

Don't you think Popeyes corporate mandates a specific size bird for their restaurants/franchisees in order for them to put out a consistent product? Everything from seasoning to battering to frying temps and times? Something like 3,000 restaurants worldwide operate on the same procedures based off of the same size chicken everywhere.

Unless of course that franchisee is going being corporate's back and secretly ordering smaller chicken at the risk of having their whole operation shut down

No longer there.

Can anyone confirm this? It was at the east terminal on the edge of the airport.

I can guarantee that this either does not happen or its violated constantly. The size in a piece of chicken from the Magazine location Popeyes compared with the O'Neal BR popeyes are light years apart. I have gotten wings the size of BWW drummets before from that popeyes and I have received breasts the size of small thighs there. Its also the only Popeyes location I know of that has charged extra for sides that contain rice.

I dont care about the size of raising canes etc.. Thats something they choose at the corporate level. With Popeyes its done based on which owner has a specific franchise. Maybe when they are getting inspected they change it up I dont know.

I know I once visited the Sherwood location and the service was amazing. I was confused. Then I noticed they had a corporate guy visiting.

My no.1 now, because I can walk there.

Well, there are external factors that determine the size of the chicken. It is genetically impossible to crank out the same exact bird every time.

Im not familiar with the O'Neal location. Is it usually busy? The franchisee does indeed control the price of the product (hence the extra charge for rice ), but Id be surprised if they got away with serving undersized chicken. The price difference doesn't justify serving small chicken. Who knows though. There are a lot of morons out there.

I'm embarrassed to have a strong opinion here, but this list is bullshite.

Number 1 is and has to be 3016 Loyola Drive, Kenner.

-friendly employees who bring your food to the table
-clean, new interior
-Two TV's: one on news the other ESPN
-convenient stop before leaving New Orleans after a long weekend.

ETA: The Laffy location has a buffet? Hard to compete with that, but Kenner is a STRONG Top 3.

Are you talking about the one right before terminal B? If so, it closed down a couple of months ago. Is there another at MSY?
