Meh... It's ok.

I've been a few times. Nothing to write home about.

I remember the menu having plenty of options. You should give it a shot, may be more to your liking.

Usually get the crab cake/pad Thai and split. Solid.

The food isn't terrible, but I prefer to eat elsewhere if I'm going to spend the amount of money they charge. "Upscale ethnic" isn't really my thing.

If you're already all in, their green curry w/ shrimp is pretty good.

I had their seafood curry the one time I went there. It was good, but it wasn't so good that I desperately want to go back, if that makes sense.

For the same price point I can have better meals around the city.

It's a decent date place, but I prefer Banana Blossom so I don't go that often, and I'm even friends w/ Merlin.

I love it (granted I don't usually pay when I go). Seafood curry, Thai Coon, and the duck dish are my favorites.

It was my favorite Thai restaurant when I lived in New Orleans. I guess they've had some price increases because I don't remember it being terribly expensive when I was there. Cool little bar and date spot if you ask me.

I parked with the intent of walking to Kyoto and while passing la Thai, I decided to try it. I enjoyed it.

I like the Mee Grob and my wife likes the Duck Delight. I've never had them, but the crab cakes are supposed to be some of the best in the city.

I liked the prices on those 2 dishes better when I could get them at Bangkok Cuisine before the storm.

Appetizer: Mussels appetizer
Entrée: Seafood curry or crab three ways

I usually go on Tuesdays when all of the appetizers are $5 and stoli drinks are $5 and Abita bottle or draft is $2.

I get the mussels and a glass of wine for $11.

I usually go for lunch....the lunch specials are around $10, ample, and tasty.

I always wonder how come he doesn't really look like it? I think the only conversations I've ever had with the guy involved the gym and the Saints.

I haven't been to La Thai in years. I remember it being decent but sort of pricey in its attempt to be upscale. I also seem to remember a couple of the dishes being a bit overdone with the sweetness. I've been thinking about trying it again, though.
