I go every couple months or so....it's the same. Decent value at lunch, food is freshly prepared and tasty. I never go at dinner.

I went one Sunday afternoon about 2-3 weeks ago.

It was a pleasant lunch.

Actually started with a roasted eggplant with shrimp app which was very tasty. Served with some kind of soy "dressing".

Think I ordered the green curry which was good. It wasn't too spicy, and well balanced.

SO ordered the Spicy Basil stir fry. Don't think she enjoyed it as much, but we had minimal leftovers.

La Thai is not going to transport you to Thailand, but it's pretty decent. The night atmosphere has good energy and you're in a good neighborhood. Can walk right to Kingpin after.

For some reason, Trend Micro gives me a dangerous page alert every time I try to access the website or the menu.

This is the message I get.

Trend Micro has confirmed that this website can transmit malicious software or has been involved in online scams or fraud.

I just sent it from my office with many, many filters.

I was just posting the menu from their site.

I've never heard anyone mention having a terrible meal there.

have you tried going directly to their pdf menu on their website? found here

if you have further problems try opening it with a different browser. also check your firewall/virus settings. it's working okay for me.

I'm even friends w/ Merlin.

I was about to ask if this was the same owners as the old La Thai (Met Road) and Bangcock (Below Rock-N-Bowl). Then I read Merlin. Am I wrong in saying this is the same? If so, I am in. Bangcock was the best thai I have ever had. I rarely went to La Thai though, because it was waaaayyyy overpriced (and apparently seems to still be)

Only stuck my head in once. Purchased a few chocolates for lady.

I didn't care for the vibe while I was there.

If I was eating somewhere right there I'd go to St. James Cheese Co. if it was lunch and Upperline if it was dinner.

That's fair. I can't eat St. James too often. They have some dynomite cheeses but every time I go there I spend a small fortune.

I haven't been to Upperline in a while but my Uncle's last experience was horrible. Hope it was a one-off.

I had a bagel the one time I went, it was good, but it was a bagel. Not sure that you can mess it up all that much. SO had some croissant that she enjoyed, but she's pretty easy to please.

Eat a proper bagel side by side with the shite that Pepperidge Farm passes off as bagels and you'll see the difference.
