Is this place not as good as the Koz's in Harahan? I just went and had a horrible BBQ ham poboy. If it's the same then I've just had my first Glass recommendation that sucked. I would go to Danny & Clydes for a poboy before this place.

Never been to that one. But, the one in Harahan is very consistent and good.

ETA: Koz works at the one in Harahan. Might make a difference.

Actually currently eating at the one in Harahan as I type this. Koz was on the phone with the Lakeview one when I ordered. Seemed hurried, he said he was "on his way to the Lakeview one" to the person on the phone. Something about chest pains.

I got a chicken fried steak from there the other day and it was underwhelming.

I really like Chicken Sue's on the other side of West End.

I hit up Hickory Cafe today. Real solid, had the Uptown Chicken. Very tasty.

I've never been to that Koz but I've heard it was inferior.

Well I'll give the BBQ ham another shot at the location in the city of friendship. It can't be the same if R2R was endorsing it, b/c this thing was coated in and dripping with HFCS.

This used to be one of my go to lunch spots while in school.

I have eaten there at least twice a month for the past year. Never had a bad meal.

The BBQ ham one in Harahan is good. Only had it once and never been to Koz's in Lakeview though. It is a messy sandwich for sure.

Chicken Sue is family. She has been cooking literally forever, going back to Chicken Delight on Argonne, then at Meme's up until Katrina. She knows what she is doing.

Anyone else here remember Chicken Delight?

I ate at the Lakeview location once and it sucked. I got some kind of fried pork chop plate or something similiar. It reminded me of a Hungry Man frozen dinner.
