re: "Fast Food Workers: You Don’t Deserve $15 an Hour to Flip Burgers and That’s OK" - BrotherEsau
[quote]This has to be a several part project. 1. Raise the wage to 15 dollars. 2. Legislation to outlaw factory like production of food. Say that each meal that is made has to be produced by at least four people (to prevent job losses). 3. Governmental subsidies for franchises in the int...

re: Crawfish Boil - Boil - BrotherEsau
Last year I switched from Zats to Louisiana. I like the Louisiana better. I also add salt, because it's not as salty. I think it has a better overall flavor. ...

re: Josh Laskay, the chef de cuisine at NOLA, died Saturday at the age of 38 - BrotherEsau
He is (was I guess) a good friend of mine. I'll miss him forever and think about him every time I pick up a kitchen knife. I think the lung infection was secondary and came about in the hospital. He had other health issues that started the process. Hug your loved ones. It can all end anytime...

re: OT Lawyers: "Stand Your Ground" question (situation inside) - BrotherEsau
It's a technicality, but if you do shoot someone, you want to say you that you shot him to stop the threat. The way you stop the threat happens to be to kill the guy, aka shoot for center mass and don't stop till he's down. That way, you don't seem like you wanted to kill the guy. Just stop the thr...

re: OT Night Law School Graduates, what were your experiences? - BrotherEsau
"full time" for night was four classes per semester, two on Monday and Wednesday, two on Tuesday and Thursday. No classes on Fridays or the weekend. The schedule may have been slightly different, but it was definitely four classes a semester, four days a week. All the classes were at 5 or later. Usu...

re: OT Night Law School Graduates, what were your experiences? - BrotherEsau
I started at night at Loyola, working full time. It wasn't too bad. They'd deny it, but I think the professor's were a bit more respectful of the night students and may have cut a bit more slack. I switched to day after the first year so I could get done in 3 years. I would recommend it. ...

re: Guns n Roses Behind the Music--eff you, Axl! - BrotherEsau
I think there are a lot of reasons for the hatred. Slash has said that basically, it was all going straight to Axl's head, and while Slash and GnR was a hard rock band, Axl was taking things soft. He said that the video for civil war was when he realized the dude was gone - apparently Axl wanted to ...

re: Reheating a steak - BrotherEsau
I slice thin and toss in a pan with butter and garlic. Not too long. Put enough butter and garlic that it doesn't matter if it ends up a tad over cooked. Leftover steaks always belong to my wife. But I eat them. ...
