I got that, I just envisioned "moderately" racist people living here. 
With the way you are defining it, every state is moderately racist. Racism comes from all races. Blacks on whites (which is through the roof), whites on blacks, Latinos on blacks, etc etc

The FBI set up shop 3 miles from my house to investigate the KKK....I think that'll speak for itself.
They were dumb though, they didn't even know you are supposed to burn the outside of the cross, and not the inside.

You're playing into the stereotype. Louisiana is probably as least racist a state as they come. We are whites and blacks living side by side. You want to see racism go to the northeast, visit NY and NJ....
Played golf with an old guy from NY and the guy couldn't stop talking about "n******s". I didn't realize how non-racist I was until I sat there and listened to him spew that garbage.

You probably won't get many to agree with you, but you raise a valid point.
It's a lot easier to be/seem "tolerant" or whatever when you lived in a ridiculously segregated society that is much of the NE and MW.
That said, there are plenty of racists in LA, and every other state in the union.

Probably part of the equation. I think when you get a less educated and less "intelligent" state, like LA, you get more racism from all residents since racism feeds on itself from all sides.

Well race relations are on the down turn every since the great uniter took office. And it goes both ways. Just today a manager in the Shreveport office of my wife's company got that call today that none of us every want to get. His 32 yr old mother of two kids wife ,whom was a manager of an apartment complex had to fire a guy today ,will old boy went out got his gun then came back shooting her multiple times killing her,As he was shooting her he used a bunch of racial names.Just today,wife has been crying all evening,she is over his office.
