I'm not to sure what the point of your post is. Other than just being a complete a-hole. I didn't feel the need to break down every single detail of the happening.

Get out of my thread.

Nonsense, carrying concealed is inherently uncomfortable unless you are wearing a jacket. Maybe it is "comfortable enough," but I'm most comfortable in my skivvies. Wearing blue jeans is uncomfortable by comparison.

I don't even notice a full size pistol on me right now. It's just like carrying my wallet. Or putting on my watch. It's far from uncomfortable.

You -definitely- did the right thing since you had a gun in there. Although you can't shoot someone for stealing stuff out of your car I'm with you. There are creeps out there, and we're not a civil race of beings.

Now I'm f'king mad for ya... it would have been such an easier story to tolerate if it weren't a gun that was passed down.

Did the guy see you when you walked out of the house or when he was getting out of your truck?

About two years ago I was walking into my apartment building (I live in Chicago in a 3-flat) and saw this guy walk out of our front door. He didn't fit the profile of someone that lives in the area and he closed the door with a face cloth which caught my eye. He had 2 bags with him which come to find out was all of the stuff in my apartment. He robbed my place and another unit in the building and I walked right by him. I was naive in thinking that nothing would happen to our place on the top floor so I didn't think anything of it when I saw him. We also had someone moving out of the building at that time so I thought he was part of the movers. Even if I could go back in time i'm not sure I would do too much. He was much bigger than I was and I didn't know if he was carrying a weapon or not. Replaced most everything but it takes away something that can't be replaced quickly. Our sense of security. BTW, Chicago sucks.

I think the point is that you didn't "do everything right." A gun is now in a criminal's hands due to several decisions you made. I don't mean this as an insult, but you can't expect everyone to pat you on the back in this instance.

I take my wallet out of my pocket because it's uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time. I often don't wear my watch because I can feel it on my wrist.

I'm not buying that you don't notice it. You know you have it there and thus ignore what is a minor discomfort to you because of the feeling of security it gives you.

Well, my initial post in this thread was, in addition to
quote:

just being a complete a-hole
an attempt to alert you to the fact that most people don't refer to a concealed carry license as a "CCW" and also that concealed carry of a weapon isn't relevant in the event you described to us.
I guess I could have just said CSB!

Maybe KR isn't a pussy like you. If the man says it's 100% comfortable for him then it's comfortable for him. Just because you can't handle it dosent mean we can't. My cc rig is comfortable as hell. Can keep it on all day no problem

You did the right thing. I have my CCW and would have been in same boat as you. I dont typically strap my gun on when going inside my parents house or family members house, so i would have done same thing as you

This.

For folks who carry everywhere (everywhere that it's legal to do so), it's uncomfortable to not be carrying.

I don't think concealed carry is at all relevant here.

this. You're at a relative's house, just put the damn piece in your waistband.

if you need to know, which you don't, mine is in a wallet holster in my pocket. there's always at least one more in the vehicle, does that make me rambo, I'd think no more than it makes you an idiot?
let me be clear on something, you're right, it wasn't a cc question or issue,, BUT, I didn't bring up cc, I was responding to a question, not YOURS, so take a chill pill geubert.

So, you leave it on your waste when you take a nap on the couch? You leave it on when you sit down for a family dinner?

Gotta laugh at you guys trying to question my masculinity because I am not skeered enough to carry my pistol to get a shirt out of the closet.

wow....

at least you had sense enough to back off and not push that situation...

I am a fairly capable individual - and would have backed up in that situation, 15 or so years ago... I may have taken a bottle or broom stick to a gun fight....

i got scared out of my skull on a job site the other day.... i was 100 feet from mine and was surrounded by hostiles.... was the first time i feared for my safety in quite some time....

was the first time I sat and quietly pondered CC...
