At least he didn't take it from me.

I've never had a firearm stolen. So I guess I'll take my arse and my guns and realize that if your fathers didn't teach you any better, you're not going to learn from someone who knows better on some internet board.

I'm sorry your feelings were hurt by being berated. Let me try again.

Oh, man, I'm sorry for your loss. That totally sucks. Oh well, at least now you can go out and buy a cooler gun and just try a little harder to remember to secure it.

in this instance, the OP was visiting someone else's house.

Maybe he should have just left his firearm at home if he couldn't secure it.

I almost never lock my truck. I don't want anyone to have to smash a window to get inside to see that there's nothing in there to steal.

I know, I really should make my firearms more readily available for theft. I'm really dumb.

I hear you, this board is too full of internet tough guy gun nerds who apparently live in constant fear for their lives. That must suck.

Maybe if people are so scared, they should just stay at home and hide under their bed with their guns.

I'm out too.

Now all fathers are responsible for their children's guns? I thought it was the individual's responsibility?

But if they steal your truck, wreck into and kill someone with it...wouldn't you feel guilty?

I bring my pistola in every night, but there are usually some bullets scattered around the console. Am I allowed to leave those in the truck or do I feel bad if someone gets shot with a stolen bullet? Preciate any insight.

You trolling the OB now?

Typical lib response, don't blame the criminal, blame the victim. I'm sure you'd blame the gun itself too. Anything but blaming to criminal.

I think the point is that you didn't "do everything right." A gun is now in a criminal's hands due to several decisions you made. I don't mean this as an insult, but you can't expect everyone to pat you on the back in this instance.

What the frick..............so its his fault for not locking the doors.............not the criminals fault for taking shite that didn't belong to him?

You think that's what the person being shot with your stolen gun thinks, 'oh, what bad luck'? I know, I know, criminals are gonna criminal, it's not your fault for making guns more readily available to them, blah, blah, blah...

I gotta go pick up all my rocks out my yard, hide the tomato stakes, and put the Harry Connick CDs in the safe. Harry has been known to knock em dead.

But my Father taught me that criminals are scum.

IYO, when is a gun considered secure? And you keep saying some nonsense about the govt taking guns away if they are stolen, what makes that rational?

Not sure which one is more convincing. This thread where the CCW would not have been used, or Bapple getting barked at by a dog.

In my opinion, luck has very little to do with it. There is a possibility that someone will break into your truck. In today's society, it's not as remote a possibility as it used to be. As such, leaving the gun in the truck increases the likelihood it is stolen. I have had 2 cars broken into a good neighborhoods. Thankfully, I never leave a handgun in my vehicle.

What about shite cramps going duck hunting? You tote your shotgun into the shop rite? You do and have made choices that contradict your own bullshite, so please don't troll and look as silly as tchop, no way to go about things
