Do you mind explaining why you didn't shoulder mount the largest deer killed on that land???

This is irrelevant to the situation i am just curious to know why. I can see why they would be upset about that.

First deer I ever killed as a teenager was a massive 8 point on family land. I had it shoulder mounted but since then I haven’t had one done. If I ever kill a bigger buck I’ll have it shoulder mounted.

My first buck I killed at 10 years old. 10 point but was a young deer only had a 13 inch spread. My dad had it shoulder mounted

I’m the same way, it takes a sure enough large buck today for me to shoulder mount now

As stated earlier, I don't like the way a shoulder mount looks, especially as it ages it shows the age. I think a euro mount looks better and stands the test of time.

Once the deer leaves the property with me they will never see it again.
So please explain to me why they would be upset and make it make sense?

Be glad to be gone.

Club hunting is as much a personality match as anything for fellowship and camaraderie.

Nice deer! I've stopped shoulder mounting for years. That looks a lot better.

I would ping them again for more info if you're in the dark, so there isn't any bad blood. I've been in areas where it boils over and gets petty. If they try and poison the well for you with other clubs or land owners, you can always open a Wildlife agent tip line for those you know about who are skirting the, which every club has.

I’m gonna ask you this stuff, but to be clear I think you were kicked out for being better at killing that buck than they were.

Were all stands “club stands”, or was there otherwise any way of deciding who hunts where? When you started “hunting that buck” did you get in a stand or stands where one guy had built the shoot house, bought the feeder, camera, and filled it with corn multiple times out of his pocket?

Not accusing you of anything, just trying to figure out how to get in front of shite like that. Everyone on our place gets along but it’s hard to find a balance between putting reasonable shite in writing and having to write an encyclopedia of rules that should be common sense.

The woods, the animals, the sunshine, and the people partaking in all of it are created by GOD.

The cold, dark hearts of those who don’t love their brothers as themselves is the source of all the meanness and pettiness.

Being in God’s creation should draw us closer to Christ…sadness.

I'd pack my shite and move on. But before I left, I'd hang a picture in the camp house of you, the deer, and 2 birds, with a caption of your choosing

are you the type to kill a man’s buck and use the Jesus shield “it was gods plan for me to kill him” or similar?

All club stands. Dues paid for most corn but I was buying corn out of pocket.

There is a board with all of the stand names and you move your name to where you plan to hunt at 4:00AM and 2:00PM, first come first use. If I planned to hunt a stand and someone else wanted to also, we flipped for it.

Ahh my friend you broke the number one of all hunting clubs, (for junior and “want to be” members. Do not shoot the “legendary” buck. I basically had to audition to join a famous club in Mississippi for probably 10 to 12 years, before there was an opening. About half the club were friends of mine and I was told two things:

1)don’t piss anybody off, and
2) don’t shoot anybody’s deer.

By “anybody’s deer” they meant some legendary quest deer or some deer that somebody been trying to kill for years. I let a few monster deer go, but I did get approved from membership eventually.

you can and just have to text another member and let them know to keep your name on the PM hunt. Or tell them I'm the morning and no one will travel that area

I had almost the exact thing happen to me last year. Kill a big deer and everyone is jealous and looking for a way to kick you out.

That escalated quickly…I don’t hunt on a club nor lease. Have my own land and hunt public land all over the USA.

And…if the Creator allows me to harvest any animal, I thank Him for it and for the men and women who worked to bring those animals back to hunting populations,

I’m truly sorry your heart has been hurt by religious people masquerading under religion,
