I was asked to leave the hunting club for not violating any rules

I was sent a text message by the president of the hunting club I joined last year asking me to clean my stuff out before Turkey season begins.

The number one reason listed was because I shot the largest deer ever on the property and didn't shoulder mount it. He also listed that I allowed my youngest son shoot a small doe. I wanted him to get his first deer, the season was winding down so he shot one smaller that I would have normally shot. Neither of these things were actual rules in the club written rules and just feelings.

In December I took a few weeks off of work to hunt when the rut was starting and this big buck had been on camera for years and just getting bigger. I started hunting him just as hard as everyone else and I noticed people started acting weird with me that week. The day I shot the buck almost everyone was downright cold or ambivalent towards me and got more weird as the last few weeks of the seasons wound down.

Also of note; Although I have only been a paying member for one year, I have been hunting with a friend there for 3-4 years. I was also working every summer changing batteries in feeders and cameras, working on broken feeders, filling feeders, resetting times and timers, and planting food plots. Myself and another member also took over an unused camp and cleaned, repaired and updated, out of our own pockets this camp.

TLDR: I shot the record buck for our property and most members turned into jealous children and I was kicked out.
