That escalated quickly…I don’t hunt on a club nor lease. Have my own land and hunt public land all over the USA. And…if the Creator allows me to harvest any animal, I thank Him for it and for the men and women who worked to bring those animals back to hunting populations, I’m truly sorry your heart has been hurt by religious people masquerading under religion,
P.S. those are root beers.

Was your lease around Tunica hills area?

Is the club in MS, and land leased from a guy with the initials LR. I know he leases out lots of properties for deer hunting only but reserves the turkey hunting. Most of these properties is near Vicksburg. If it's LR, you might advise him of what's happening. They all might lose their lease.

All club stands. Dues paid for most corn but I was buying corn out of pocket. There is a board with all of the stand names and you move your name to where you plan to hunt at 4:00AM and 2:00PM, first come first use. If I planned to hunt a stand and someone else wanted to also, we flipped for it.
Leave a box of tampons at the camp. No excuse for grown men to act like that when all they had to do was get their arse out of bed during the rut.

Wilkinson county so not the same. That send to be a common thing now because even weyerhaeuser leases did this with turkeys.

Exactly. We have our own property but are in a lease too. All the guys in our lease are deer hunters and not horn hunters. We do kill our share of good bucks, but everyone will be happy with any deer that gets killed. We’re pretty much all on the same page.

Yeah. They double up using same property for deer leases then turkey leases. LR sure does.

Multiple studies have shown that "culling" bucks does absolutely nothing to help the quality of the herd.
Reasons to shoot a "cull" buck include
1- it's fun to shoot them
2- fill your freezer
But help the quality- nope!

This is why I lease my own land.

Fluffed a young 6 point with my muzzleloader. Excitedly sent a pic to fellow member showing him my first smokepole deer.
He sullenly replied that he had that deer on camera and was going to let it walk.
He then decided my stand was too close to his, therefore I must move.
Club then accused me of cutting down pine saplings.
Screw em.
Last straw.
Oil on his corn pile, dead possum in his stand an I was gone.

I think someone already mentioned it but your path forward is easy.
1. Dress head to toe in sitka gear.
2. Take picture of yourself with all trophies killed at said club. Maybe even throw up a peace sign.
3. Frame the picture, sign it ‘Thanks for the memories, your name’
4. Hang the picture above the sink at said club.
5. Exit club.

Sounds like they just didn’t like you. It’s a private club, so like it or not, that’s a pretty important factor.
My dad joined two hunting clubs when I was a kid and we only knew one member in both of them. We pretty much got the gut hole both times and didn’t renew after a year. It’s really not worth trying to join a club unless it’s a family deal.

Damn so you couldn't hunt one all day? I'd be parked in the woods when eveverybody else was moving around and bumping deer
This is why you have to have a “master of the hunt”
In my club I tell people where they are hunting while listening to suggestions as well. But if we are packed, you’re going where I tell you based on who needs to kill a buck (predetermined by me and how much they help or how much they’ve hunted and been good guests)
You’re also going to be in your stand before daylight and hunt till 9:00am
In the afternoon you’ll be in your stand by 2:30 and hunt till dark thirty and I’ll either come get you or if you know how to walk back, do that.
It’s so much easier to have a leader.
You don’t like it? It’s my land.

Don’t need to hunt all morning unless it’s the rut from what I’ve gathered. I need breakfast and a nap. But that’s just me.

Was asked to leave a lease in J:unction Texas after 7 years. Members had really gotten into getting drunk every night, loud and obnoxious . We had already started looking for other leases when at the end of season the heritage members told us we were out because I had brought a 12 pound dog that was always inside or on a leash. Heritage members brought dogs that ran free. The problem.....Son and I had a border collie walk on the stand that was in poor shape. We took him to the vet, took care of him for a week and made a 400 mile round trip to return to adjacent property owner. Heritage folks thought we exceeded our authority and had to go.
Be careful of the heritage dicks associated with hunting leases
