I’m about to ruffle some feathers…but join a dog hunting club and you won’t have any of these problems. It’s a group hunt and everyone knows their chance of killing a deer is the same as anyone else’s.

Everyone is on the same page and most guys just want to hear a good race. A deer is just icing on the cake.

I got shite on by a good buck this year and another guy ran down the road and wound up killing it. I could not be happier for him.

That’s why we only hunt in our property. My son hunts almost every day. I let him hunt where he wants and kill enough do that we have sausage for the year. He wouldn’t get that enjoyment with having to draw stands and shoot certain size deer. We only have 90 acres so we can’t manage anything. The kids have fun and see deer. I’m good with that.

EXACTLY one reason why I bought my own 60 acres when my son (then about 8 years old) really got interested in deer hunting.

Primarily in Louisiana to save me and my boys some money on licenses, but also in southern Mississippi.

10-4..I live in amite county. I’ll keep an eye out . Most small tracts don’t sit long when they hit the market.
