Just listened to Kaare's interview of Edwin Edwards. That was great.

Say what you will about Kaare Johnson, but what I just heard would never have happened on WWL.

Angela is a huge upgrade over the other "talent" on that clear channel monopoly. She is at the very least, coherent.

The rest of lineup, especially the ridiculous duo of Bobby and Deke, are horrible.

I was suprised to find out that Deke isn't black.

Kaare is obsessed with slamming "the radio station down the dial" instead of just putting on a good show of his own and letting people get it for themselves. Also, he's full of shite that he is "middle of the road". He's a leftist. You never hear him bitch about anything a lib has said or done.

I listen to WWL probably 50% of the time. It seems like it has went down hill since say Katrina, but saying that it's still pretty much the same people shuffled around.

I don't see the Angela show lasting. It just isn't the right personality and show for the demographic that listens to WWL or talk radio mid day.

Some years back Garland had surgery on his throat and now has this weird sound like he needs to swallow or something. Also remember at one point either people calling for Garland to run for office or maybe him actually thinking about throwing his name in the hat for some office.

Kaare's house was bought by WDSU I believe and is called the Who Dat Shack or something like that over behind Rouses in the WHD.
