Agree with all this, but is there an alternative?

WWL has some of the best ratings in the gulf south.

If you're complaining that means you're listening still.

Just get rid of Kristian and move Scoot between 1-4am so no one has to listen to him and if you have trouble sleeping hes the perfect sedative.

That is funny, Karre was such an assclown I bitched about him all the time. But now he would be a vast improvement over the current WWL lineup.

I could take Kaare on WWL, but only if he continued to bring it to you live from Supah D on Fridays

This is a dumb, but true, statement.
They are clear channel. Do you know what that means?

Listening occasionally is unavoidable. Unless you live in a box on Canal Street, everybody else's signal is crap.

Don't be fooled into thinking their overall product is decent.

Read this thread.

I thought you said they were a Clear Channel Communication station. A lot of people get this confused.

You went and looked it up, huh?

Now you know why they get those ratings.

Kaare is obsessed with slamming "the radio station down the dial" instead of just putting on a good show of his own and letting people get it for themselves.

He's just mad WWL won't hire him. Of course the only reason Kaare's ever been on the radio in any capacity is because his dad ran WWL for many years.

This is very true, although I've seen WRNO's ratings, and they're very good. Helps to have Rush.

I sometimes give Garland and WWL a chance at lunchtime but even with those limited listens his show gets repetative (coastal erosion, young entrepenuers, etc.). Don Dubuc and Dan Gill are the only reasons to tune in to WWL.

Morning drive time listening is split between Jeff Crouere on 990 AM and Denny Shaeffer on WRNO, with a lean towards Crouere. He handles his callers well, doesn't lose his cool, takes reasonable and common sense stands on issues.

Evening drive time is John Osterlind on WRNO all the way! That dudes a trip and his producer/sidekick Parker is a pretty good wingman.

I quit listening too WWL 2 weeks after Angela started. It was a staple in my car until she started, now I'm back to music so she doesn't put me to sleep.

I miss "The Chuck Wagon Gang" and them telling the time by saying "King Edward Cigar time is 9:59."

There's a guy that does the sports breaks and he says, Sean PAY-UNNHN. Drives me crazy.

I change the channel whenever I hear that guy come on because his pronunciation is like nails on a chalkboard to me. How hard is it to pronounce a fooking T when you make your living on the fooking radio????
