Tommy Tucker is objectively terrible. When I was in high school WWL used to actually have news reports in the morning. Now it's 100% "Paretti Jaguar Opinion Polls" and Tucker begging idiots to text him random opinions on random subjects.
Their best on-air talent is, inexplicably, Dan fricking Gill. It's the most entertaining show they have and he talks about weeds for three hours for Christ's sake.

Kristian Garic is awfrickingful. He's a dick, limited football knowledge, and has never heard of any other sport. Why won't WWL hire one person to be their go-to for basketball? Someone who knows the game. 106.1 and Eric Asher on 990 are decent with league wide NBA discussion. Two-team city in name only.

I like Tommy and the morning show is 1000% better since he took over for Bob Del Gornio.

WWL is crap because they're appealing to the lowest common denominator.
Tommy Tucker is a huge upgrade to Bob DelGiorno.
I like Garland's topics of discussion most of the time, but he lost a lot of credibility with me over his whole "loan from Fred Heebe" debacle.
Same with Spud's old show. Enjoyed the topics, but I found listening to Spud play a caricature of himself everyday exhausting.
He was replaced by Angela Hill, who basically does fluff New Orleans radio. If Fleurty Girl does a radio show in 30 years, I imagine it'd sound similar to Angela's.
And then there's Sports Talk. It's about as bad as it gets. There aren't enough words to express how disappointing it is that that's the best we can muster for a drive time sports talk show on the Saints' and Pelicans' flagship station.
But the true reason it's crappy is because it can be. It's one of the most powerful radio stations in the country, so the advertising money just pours in. In that sense, they almost have a monopoly on the market. Smaller stations have a difficult time keeping up, because they have to compete with WWL for the finite amount of local advertising dollars to stay above water.

WWL radio sucks because they have 30 seconds of show time before they go to an hours worth of commercials...It's tough listening to Saints post game with 25,000 fricking River Parish Disposal commercials

I don't really enjoy listening to Bobby Hebert unless he's in full blown trashed mode, but I like the idea of him being there. He should probably just be relegated to post game shows and a small segment of the actual sports show.
