Poor bastard has no college education. I just scratched out a check for literally tree-fiddy to repair a pipe in my ceiling. About 30 mins work.

I hope he’s able to scratch out a living? Poor fella. Lol

Trades can make bank if they are reliable, price their work reasonably, and do good work.

Poor bastard probably makes north of $40/hr and has damn near since he started as a journeyman. Especially while you were shelling out $5k/ year for a college degree to make less money. And I say that as someone with a college degree myself.

There’s a lot to shite on people’s career choices. Going into the trades ain’t one of them. Or feel free to learn to fix your own toilets, air conditioner, and electrical work. Those guys professions are going to be in such high demand within a decade you’ll be begging for someone to come work on your shite.

That’s the real world and when the shite won’t flush people that have no idea about the real world find out real quick. A lot of those same people look down and talk shite about those people until they need them.

You could have probably had your husband do that.

My boomer-arse parents told me to go into computer programming. "You don't want to end up being a plumber do you?!"

Thanks a lot, assholes.

My A/C guy has his MBA. He makes more money running his A/C company than working a white collar job.

It’s deff a skill that pays off bigly. It’s the simple fixes in life that people are not learning anymore and it’ll cost them. Wouldn’t hurt for more people to take off the tie and slacks and play around in the garage every now and then and learn how to operate some tools. This is coming from a blue collar worker.
