According to that map, w will be getting some snow/ice here in Oklahoma. I welcome it.

We have plenty of firewood and I don't have anywhere I need to be except here on the cattle farm.

Temps will cool faster than models are showing. This will be more of a snow event for North Texas. Austin, Waco, etc? I don't know. Rummy better stock up on milk sandwich supplies

This would cause some issues in DFW

It seems to me somewhere gets some ice with some WAA over the front. So assuming youre right (and i really have no reason not to), just slide that ice potential south and east to correct for the cooling aloft.

Those temps imply quite the snow cover.

Yea, the GFS can over do this but extreme cooling over snow cover is a real thing.

A couple of times last winter in Colorado, on a clear calm night with snow down Ive seen it drop about 30 degrees... from 15 to -15.

Thats some efficient shite at radiational cooling.

I'll try to post more. I may be in a very bad spot assuming further SE trends being near Tyler. We could see hours of sleet that will occasionally be heavy. That intense negative tilt trough could lead to strong thunderstorms where temps are in the 20s.Could we see severe TS warnings in the cold air? DFW could be in line for occasional blizzard conditions. Then Friday morning could be single digits and even below 0 across North Texas. This won't melt quick either with days below freezing through the weekend likely.

This is very true, here in East Texas we made it down to -8 last Feb because of a foot of snow on the ground.

Sub freezing for about 40 hours between Wed night and Friday afternoon. Piece of cake compared to last year.
