I stepped outside to see how slick it was and watched a salt/plow truck slide off our road and almost take out a light post.

I guess you got your answer.

Had rain here most of the afternoon with a little sleet mixed in. Hit freezing around 7pm but the rain and sleet didn't last much longer than that. Glaze of ice on everything but the ground is still just wet.

Yep.

Thankfully there’s virtually no one else out. We’ve been here just over a year and already had our roadside mailbox taken out once in winter weather. We have a big arse River birch in the front that would at least slow someone down if they came that far off the road.

We’ve changed over to snow at this point so hopefully it’s not too bad throughout the night. My boss already emailed to let us know we need to either to Telehealth or reschedule for tomorrow.

Starting to get more icy rather than snowy with the sun setting in DFW.

Not sure radar is doing a great job of picking up what’s actually making it to the ground

Any chance this high pressure moves out a little sooner and warms us up some in less than 4-5 days??

Not this week.

NW flow keeps us cool and dry.

And sunny. Cool, dry, and sunny.

Now, if I can just get to where I can stand up straight and walk without hurting so I can take advantage.
