Takeemdownnola had nothing to do with bringing the statues down. They got behind the cause that Mitch started.

It is actually now looking like fightin tigers was correct all along that Mitch Landrieu is who actually started and is funding this. Takeemdownnola are actually the perfect idiots for Landrieu to manipulate here because they are too stupid to know they are being used by Landrieu for his own political aspirations.

Further proof that Black Lives Matter & Takeemdownnola do not like Jews. These hate groups are filled to the top with anti-Semitic leaders.

Takeemdown is a racist hate group, that wants any and all things white taken down and removed. frick that shite and frick all this white guilt and white hate right now. Slavery while terrible and totally fricked up, was a very long time ago and no amount of apologizing or arse kissing or statue taken down can change that.

Laugh now, but the small business owners that are the backbone of this state will continue to move out. Democrats are raping them with taxes and insurance hikes, a good portion of the citizens are unemployable. The schools and infrastructure are complete shite.

Many, and I mean many, good hard working people born in this state have decided to make a better life elsewhere. This has nothing to do with statues. Everything to do with our corrupt government pandering to low life lazy entitled trash.

Right when this statue controversy started, I told my GF that it was time to move away from SE Louisiana. She agreed, but I know she could never leave her family.

But, I have an opportunity to move with a job to western Missouri. The type of job it is would allow me to visit in Louisiana every 4 to 6 weeks for 3 or 4 days. With every passing day, I come closer to really pushing to make the job change happen.

I had to close Facebook last night. CNN and others were Circle jerking Mitch's speech and everyone in the comments were talking about all of those racists down there that wanted to keep them.

I really fricking hate the general populous sometimes.

The Clinton group is backing Landrieu as the 2020 Presidential Contender. He has the backing of Donna Brazile, Sybil Morial, Lanny Davis, Paul Begala, & Walter Issacson

I hate to say this, but you should leave. My feelings toward my hometown and state have changed, with all this going on. If I had a chance I would leave.

The one upside is if Tulane brings back its previous name, there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth in Lafayette.

Or just to Jefferson Parish

With the housing prices in New Orleans, it's a matter of time before Jefferson Parish is inundated with trash people. Hell, it's already happening in West Jefferson.

am not saying the "Trail of Tears" was a good thing by any stretch. But we did win versus the Indians...
right, and two centuries later, we're now deciding we don't want to honor those who treated people like that

But Jackson did win the battle
Of new Orleans so he's staying up regardlessl

Yeah, well, New Orleans won't be seeing me and my money now and for the foreseeable future. Like someone mentioned in one the previous statue threads: (paraphrasing) "When the next hurricane comes, the checkbook is closed."

There are a small number of black power types who have always wanted them down. They have always been vocal, but no one took them seriously.

There have been a larger number of people who aren't fond of the confederacy stuff in the south, but they mainly kept that to themselves.

After the Charleston church shooting, those two groups came together. they were able to influence a mayor that was term limited yet looking to get his name out there on a larger stage.

Now... I personally can't wait for this to come out. Then the rest of the country will see just how nuts they are.

Before all you Monuments-to-the-Lost-Cause snowflakes start melting, wait for the City Council to agree to consider more changes. At this point, I bet they're not ready for another round just yet....

Not quite. Tulane was originally founded and chartered as The University of Louisiana. Later a man named Paul Tulane donated a huge sum of money and the University renamed itself in his honor.

Hilarious when you consider the current demographics of that university.
