Early morning isn't when thugs hit. That is something else, probably a domestic issue. Possibly a contrived setting.

So the wife broke into 10 other cars that morning to cover up her crime? Come on now.

For all the one's who posted in this thread today who think they live in a magic bubble that protects them from crime.....

Read most of this thread and still don't see the need to carry a loaded weapon around. Just too many things that can go wrong with that. Keep my shotgun in the bedroom and my other stuff locked up in the safe.

Not everyone can have a job as a software engineer, working from home in the richest suburbs, getting a blowjob by his OT 9 wife/gf, while making 400k a week.

Yeah but the OT is full of them.

Don't have my CCL yet. Do plan on getting it.

Will be carrying a 3" GP100 at first because that's what I have. Plan to get a sig P229 and probably a shield soon after I get my license.

Have to wonder if the Birmingham guy tried to confront criminals? Would seem poor situational awareness to leave your house at dark and not notice someone by your car. If the article suggestion that the murderer could have used a gun stolen from an unlocked car is true that really sucks. I will never understand why people leave firearms in their vehicles overnight even if it is locked.

Last time I felt the need to carry again on me was after Katrina. Carried a Taurus 38 special on my hip in plain sight.

I have on some occasions carried that same revolver in my truck when I had a large amount of cash on me.

I own a Ruger 22 I sometime target practice with and an old Colt Woodsman that I love.

Shield 9mm

You may already be aware of this but there was a safety recall on these a few years ago.

quote:
Smith & Wesson has issued a major consumer safety alert for all M&P Shield Pistols manufactured before August 19, 2013.

Released August 22, 2013, the safety alert identified an issue where the M&P Shield’s trigger bar pin could damage the trigger’s drop safety feature—enabling the pistol to potentially discharge when dropped.

I was unaware of this but just checked the video and then my pistol. Mine is good. Thanks for the heads up

Dude, that grip would look too sweet on my .357 Got a birthday coming up at end of the month...

Is yours rosewood or walnut? It looks in between almost...judging by the grain, the choices are the actual wood, not just the stain...correct?

GP 100 (not actual pic of mine, but same size barrel and stock grip)
