Yeah, that's a trip. The weird thing is, it looked like that damn near into the early 2000's.

That hay field behind Lowes, Ulta, and Dicks that still sits vacant today is a gold mine.

I used to work in the tennis center of Querbes late 70s. The Feist brothers used to come on to play. They owned those cotton fields south of Eastgate and north of Lsus.

They never married or had kids.

I could not get them to adopt me!!

Fun read

They used to drive out into the middle of those fields in their Oldsmobile Delta 98. How they never got stuck, I'll never know. They had some kind of Ninja off roading skills

Every time In drive past that spot, I always wonder what that guys "number" is.

He is obviously not hurting for money, or it would have been sold a few years ago. Im sure people have been beating on his door naming prices.

Yep. Keep wondering when that will be developed.

Another one is the 20 or so acres at the end of Preston between Clyde Fant and the river. Some guy is just running cows on it right in the middle of town.

Isn't all the property along the Parkway the Hamels property?

That douchenozzle that threatened me and Coco when we were fishing his docks on Champion Lake was married to a Hamels and he kept spouting off how "he" used to own all the land.

Two Feist brothers never married or had children and died. All left to LSU Health in Shreveport I believe. There were lots of weird rumors about the Feists when they were still around. A local attorney is the handler for a lot of it now. I remember seeing a small body of geese in the field near where the Dicks is now many years ago.

I recently found the A-Train album "Live at Humphries"
I have that album and was there that night. The label was Soto Records and it's Humpfree's by the way.

The label was SOOTO Records ("Something Out Of The Ordinary), not Soto.
