re: Netflix Series: Chef's Table - webstew
Watched the Magnus Nilsson episode last night. Wow. Very impressive considering their location and lack of year round access to fresh produce. His using "retired dairy cow" beef was pretty ingenious too. Looks like it's going to be a great series....

re: Arabic vs Persian vs Greek food - webstew
I've only had Persian a couple of times in Washington DC and in San Francisco. I purchased this book and agree that their cuisine is pretty complex with some hard to find ingredients. It's out of my league as far as cooking. [link=(http://www.amazon.com/Food-Life-Ancient-Persian-Ceremonies/dp/1...
think I just had a Peregrine Falcon sitting on my ledge at work. Is that what it was?
That is definitely a Peregrine falcon. That is such a cool thing to see. I had heard of people spotting them in downtown Shreveport but have never seen a photo of one. I'm surprised it is ...

re: Best Napa wineries? - webstew
Just went last week but brought our two minor daughters so focus was more on sightseeing and less on tasting. The ones we visited were Castello di Amorosa (got some great photos there), Sterling Vineyards (to ride the gondola and more photos), Domaine Chandon (across the road from where we stayed),...

Not sure if this is what they are looking for but if they are looking for Italian, both Chianti's and Giuseppe's have banquet rooms for groups. You could call them and see if they can do a scaled down menu for a group of kids. [link=(http://www.chiantirestaurant.net/banquet.html)]Chianti Banquet...
