Not sure if this is what they are looking for but if they are looking for Italian, both Chianti's and Giuseppe's have banquet rooms for groups. You could call them and see if they can do a scaled down menu for a group of kids. [link=(http://www.chiantirestaurant.net/banquet.html)]Chianti Banquet...

According to Google, their hours are from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm for lunch and from 5:00 to 9:30 for dinner. You would think they would at least have an answering machine on for when they are closed though. Sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase. ...

Zach, At Bombay Dreams, the owner, Rajiv, is usually working the floor and is very helpful especially with adjusting the spice level to everyone's liking. Some of the best things to order for first timers there are: 1. Garlic Naan (flat bread) 2. Chicken Korma (chicken in a yogurt and cashe...

Also, Went to Perbacco for Saturday lunch. It is walking distance from Union Square and was very good. Make sure you get dessert as their pastry chef has apparently won a lot of accolades. [link=(http://perbacco.eattap.com/files/2013/02/Perbacco-Dinner-Menu-4-10.pdf)]Perbacco April 10th Di...

Had really good omakase at Zushi Puzzle on Saturday. They have a lot of fish on their chalkboard that you don't see on most sushi menus. If you are into edomae omakase, two other restaurants that look interesting are Maruya and Kusakabe but I haven't been to either one to give a recommendation...
