There are two gates, the back gate has been broken multiple times and people have reported that they have seen vehicles waiting then going in through the exit gate as someone is driving out. There used to be a spike strip that prevented that but it malfunctioned last year and punctured a bunch of residents' tires as they exited that gate. No more spike strip now. Plus the new construction next to the subdivision has made it easy to walk in from the adjacent streets.
Sounds to me like you need to get BRgetthenet in there yesterday to help you guys set up a proper neighborhood watch.
ETA: Also, I'm kind of disappointed in us because it took until page 6.

Is there a coyote problem? (four legged kind) Deer with west lyme ticks?
Those might merit a fence to make the neighborhood healthier.

...so you don’t want to build the wall? You don’t want to make your neighborhood great again?

Does anyone here know if I have any legal ground to stop this stupid shite?
No.
That's what you get for buying land with caveats and restrictions. Next time when you buy a property make sure it's actually yours and not part of some communist commune.
I don't feel sorry for people who live in HOAs at all. They chose that. You knew it going in when you purchased your property. You wanted to live in a perfect little controlled community, well, you got your Truman Show.

Hand tiny.

I've just spoken to a neighbor who was able to make the last meeting which was in December and no vote was taken nor where any details of the fence discussed. They just mentioned the idea of possibly building a fence, and proceeded to move forward with it. I just posted on the facebook thread how exactly the covant has been violated.

My folks live in Southern Trace and there has been a serious uptick in car break-ins and people snooping for packages on doorsteps.
FYI, fences don't stop criminals. Unless we're talking 15 foot razor wire fence. Watch any episode of Cops or Live PD and see how many 6 ft dog-ear fences your average criminal can leap in 3 minutes.

I know I'm late to this party, but there is no frickin' way I'd allow them to put a fence on MY property.

Exactly. People who live in HOAs are people who want that extra level of totalitarianism.
I wouldn't even live in an incorporated municipality

It can start out with reasonable rules/bylaws that everyone agrees with and turn contentious/irritating over time. All it takes is a few jackasses with more free time than others to ruin it.
Which is why you shouldn't live in an HOA. Unless you know all the board members and they have lifetime appointments, then you never know how it's going to evolve over time.
