i know these things aren't 100% because of other factors but just for an idea. CNN cost of living calculator:
I live in
FL
Sarasota
I want to live in
OR
Portland
I currently make
50K in Sarasota Florida
Comparable salary in
Portland, OR
$59,654
Price difference in Portland, OR
Groceries 10% more
Housing 50% more
Utilities 1% more
Transportation 10% more
Health Care 3% more
so roughly 10K more to live in portland over sarasota to maintain same standard of living with 50K in Sarasota

Just came back from the area. I stayed in Portland/Wine Country area. There is so much fun outdoors stuff to do, some of the best wine and beer in the country, and that area allows you to be within striking distance of good travel spots to see. Some of the cons, the city of Portland is pretty liberal so depending on your personality, that could be an issue. My wife and I got really tired of being asked to vote for full disclosure of non organic ingredients to be list food labels, or help vote on new lower emissions standards for vehicles. Not that I mind the idea, but we couldn't walk a block without someone hitting us up. On the West side of Portland is one of the nation's largest areas of grass seed grower. This would be a major con for me as it blew my allergies out of the water. Without a doubt I have to get put on a program with an allergist out there.
I'm not a big city guy and would have a hard time having to drive into downtown daily for work, but I would live there in a heartbeat if the office was outside of downtown or if I was looking for a nice retirement spot right outside of Portland.
Full disclosure: I went when there was not one rain drop, 70ish during the day and 50is at nights, and a great breeze all day. Don't know what living up there during rainy season would do to dampen my spirits.

Based on the comments a lot of them are misunderstood.
DO NOT count on bonus money. Your salary is 45k and that's definitely not enough to move from sunny skies beach life with hot sloots everywhere to rainy hipster depressing Portland.
No I would not make the move for 10k. As one poster said, be patient. Get your resume out there. Network. If you quit and move back you won't even be able to pay for the moving expenses to get back.
Is there a reason you haven't counter offered? I'm assuming bc you don't want to risk losing it? What's your degree?

This is more or less an entry level Analyst position, so I don't think there's much room to counter.
My degree is in Finance.

I would definitely make the move. You're still young, just do it. It sounds like an awesome experience. Most of he people telling you not to move are probably small town mindset people who will never live 50 miles away from where they grew up.

The only concern I have really is trying to not be broke.

dude, do you know how much you will be able to command in 2 years? Have you not seen anything that I wrote?
think of it as them basically paying you to get your MBA

I think my main concern is whether making ~$60k is enough to live there. I would be living in WA, so COL is cheaper than in the city.
Yes. That's about what I made at your same age and I lived in a more expensive area in WA and did fine.

you need to stay for at least 2 years though.
document everything that you do, try to get them to get you certified in SQL or something to put on your next resume

I'll send a text to LSUintheNW (if he's not banned ) and tell him to jump in here and help you out with places you need to check out. I don't know the Portland/Vancouver area very well.
