This ain't good. He was doing work. Now there's going to be some political puppet appointed in his place and corruption will start to run wild again.

This is especially disappointing with the statute of limitations about to run out on some things related to Ray Nagin, I mean Public Official A.

I'm aware.

I just hate for stuff like this to happen when it isn't a "leadership" problem per se.

Can't watch all the little idiots 24 hours a day, and now his replacement is likely to be worse than just as good.

Englehardt's order painted a pretty grim picture of conduct in the office. Perricone especially was making some very inflammatory statements, which may have created an atmosphere prejudicial to defendants in their criminal proceedings. Once Mann was also found to be involved, it was apparent that there could be a broad conspiracy in the office to cover up impropriety.
