Meh, he's just pushing the envelope system, which had been around for quite some time before he started pushing it.

People are really frickin dumb with their money. Just spend shite without a single thought of saving or getting out of debt. The envelope system just helps you allocate money properly and consistently.

Right now I pay cash for pretty much everything. I have a credit card but don't use it. I'll start using it and paying it off every month after I get my mom cut out of my finances

I average about $2500 a month. I put everything possible on them to get rewards.
You are missing out on alot if you don't us a card. Of course this is with the understanding that you can't act like a dumbass and spend more than you make and end up paying interest for years and years.

I pay cash for everything. Too many years of being a single mom and refusing to charge everything. I finally consented to letting my husband put me on his cards when the mortgage company said I literally had no credit. But I still never use them.

Will have zero CC debt in about 12 days.

And my CC doesn't have rewards, so once it's paid off, I'll either close this one and open up one that does offer rewards, or I may just keep the old one for emergencies only. Haven't decided yet

Do not close your CC if it has no annual fee. Just apply for another card with rewards. Put the one you don't use in a safe or sock draw, but don't close it.

People not paying on time, or the whole balance.
