House in BR 1495 sq ft
( perfect size for myself and paid for).

My Farm house my grandfather built in 1935 2200 sq ft. Mostly office and place to entertain. I had offers to sell and I might do it soon to downsize.

Camp Toledo bend 3149 sq ft on the lake I can see Texas from my family room. I
love to see the sunset from my porch over the lake. As far as the camp it is way too big for me. Thinking hard on selling it while the lake level been steady and build me a smaller cabin 2 lots down that I own.

Sad part when I lived in California my 2700 sq ft house cost more than all three of the above homes

Once I sold my house in California I was able to pay cash for all my present homes.

I left the big houses behind and have never been happier. 900sq ft condo with a wall of windows overlooking tree tops and the cityscape...

I'll take quality material and architecturally appealing design over wasted footage all day long...

Totally agree. I have 1,000 sqft. While not architecturally appealing, it's laid out very well. More room ends up being very expensive storage space in a lot of cases.
