The ignorance in this thread is overwhelming. You can forget anything about tesla and hyper loop you want but this guy has done more at spacex than any other country including ours in the aerospace industry have dreamed about in the last ten years. He is landing rockets when everyone thought it was impossibly and driving down the cost of access to space exponentially. He can’t ever make a deadline but can you blame him considering the things he’s trying to achieve.

He criticized Trump though...so the intelligent, scholarly gentlemen of TD hate him.

It uses thrust to decelerate and lands on a ship.

How does it right itself, decelerate and then stay stable on descent? Seems like an engineering nightmare that defies the law of gravity.

Uh no. He's pretty much a genius. There's no really denying it.

Who gives a shite? Elon Musk didn't correctly predict the date and time he was going to accomplish that brainfrick of a feat that even the brightest minds at NASA couldn't figure out.

He's a charlatan!

No doubt, the two reasons are:

1. Make him more money
2. He's the biggest attention whore breathing

Have you ever asked someone at NASA or JPL about the quality of SpaceX?

Say what you want about Elon, but those guys slammed millions of dollars into Mars because they didn't convert a simple measurement. Maybe their quality could use a boost as well.
