He can’t ever make a deadline but can you blame him considering the things he’s trying to achieve.
As I've eluded to a few times, I think a great many people know the goal of the super aggressive deadlines are to get his teams to work to the bone not really to meet the deadlines(which are near impossible) but to get the product completed in the quickest manner possible.

Also, if hitting deadlines is the biggest gripe one can come up with for Elon Musk, well that kinda proves the point of how impressive what he's doing is.

I agree with Slackster on almost everything, but this has to be his worst take I've seen in all these years.

He's just a con artist. Why can't people see that?

Did he accidentally fall into the auto market, Hyperloop, and changing space travel as we know it with reusable rockets?

Ho hum!!!

You're not making much sense.

I noticed you intentionally ignored SpaceX, care to tell me why? I mean, I already know, but I want to hear you say it.

Also, tell me all the things I said in this thread that is incorrect, I'll wait...

Not sure what you mean. The gov’t was paying 4-500 million per launch and are paying about 120 now to spacex. Private companies are paying less than 100 million for satellite launches because they don’t have all the regulations the military and nasa have.

Given enough federal grants, tax dollars and incentives he can. Look at the electric cars I helped fund through my tax dollars. I will never never be able to afford to drive one, nor my children or grandchildren. Sooooo how does that help in the long run..........not.

P.S. No there will be no technology bleed to make the cars more affordable in the future. Same thing they said in the sixties about small aircraft and how has a that worked for you?

I love the idea that he gets knocked for using subsidies that any car company could have also gotten.

$35k, I guess you don't dream big for your children or grandchildren if you don't think they'll ever afford a $35k car.

Yep, electric vehicles/transportation won't help in the long run, nailed it!!!

Uhhh what? It has been tested. It's in heavy testing. They just achieved 220mph a couple of months ago.

Hyperloop One will likely have the first active loop in Dubai by 2019, FYI.

Not fully tested. You realize there are multiple tests to run, right?

There are also common sense drawbacks to the idea like safety and costs. How many passengers can it really transport at a time? And is it worth sinking several hundred million into a project that can only shoot off 20 people from Houston to say Dallas...

Dude. You can buy a Leaf for $30k and a Model 3 for $35k.

I realize that there are subsidies and grants for the manufacturer. But electric + renewable energy is the future. It has to be or the human race will not survive.

Who are you saying is landing orbital rockets? Are you talking about blue origins suborbital that came years after the spacex grasshopper?

Who else has landed and reused a rocket? ESPECIALLY an orbital class booster? You can even include fricking world superpowers if you'd like.

I'll wait.

So you don’t think grass hopper counts as a rocket? Also, has blue origin even made it to orbit yet?
