re: Residental contractors in the Baton Rouge area - csorre1
I appreciate the suggestions. It isn't a huge project by any stretch of the imagination, but it is certainly one worth getting a few quotes before picking someone. I'll go with the folks who got multiple votes....

re: Residental contractors in the Baton Rouge area - csorre1
Bad experience?
As a general rule, I try to avoid paying someone to send me spam email. The OT knows a lot more about good local contractors than Angie's List. Edit: Thanks guys, I'll make a few calls....

re: Pelican Point going private...or are they? - csorre1
I guess, but why can't they just make a rule specifying certain things that are unacceptable? I have a club car that totally standard and they said it wasn't ok. No radio, no camo, no side-view mirrors, nothing. Just your every day golf cart....
Then they charge you a little bit less for a trail use fee. It's the same at Greystone.... No benefit in owning your own cart .
Not to mention when I asked if I could use the cart that I already own they said I had to live in the neighborhood and have the same model that they us...

re: Sun Buns 2015 Poker Run ( boat pics inside) - csorre1
If I would buy a boat just to ride in, I'd buy a 28ft Chaparral SSX (bowrider). They are less expensive compared to these boats and way more functional.
So this thread got me looking at boats on Louisiana Sportsman and found something pretty close to your preference on the front pa...

re: Is Paris the world's most revered city? - csorre1
I liked Paris but the people were not very friendly to us. My mom speaks fluent French and she said they were saying all kinds of nasty things. I spent a week in Bayeux and on the Normandy coast. That is where I would prefer to visit. As far as revered cities go, I would say Rome is probably m...

re: Starting Poche was the correct decision, even in hindsight - csorre1
The only reason it is preferable to win game 1 vs game 2 is that, if you win game 1, you don't have the added pressure in game 2 of elimination. However, at this point in the season, the pressure is insane anyways, and either this team has the makeup to handle it, or not. Based on recent p...

Another way to look at it is this, I would rather have Lange over Poche on the mound in an elimination game vs CSF or Vandy's number 2 starter....
