This is pretty much it. You can get normal range on regular XL load-rated tires if you aren't barking them at every stop sign or red light. Hell, I was approaching 30k miles on the OEMs (which aren't XLs) before switching them out due to a nail puncturing a sidewall, and all of them still measure close to new. I kept the good three as future spares that I can easily get another 25k miles out of. And I do "goose it" from time to time.

Now, ask me about all the gas, oil changes, transmission fluid changes, coolant flushes, differential fluid changes, etc. I don't have to deal with on that car. Over the life of the car, it's not even close as to which one is more costly, both to my wallet or any perceived impacts on the environment (not why I bought it). I loathe the $100+ oil changes on my other two.

The stock tires aren't that cheap. The front tires cost right at $500 per tire, the rear barely under $600, plus balancing, tax, and you're an idiot of you don't get road hazard on that expensive of a tire.

Tirebuyer and tire rack list the wrong tire. There is also a different model front and back. Stock front tires are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/30/ZR21 (101Y) extra load and stock rear tires are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 295/30/ZR21 (102Y) extra load. Maybe you can find them cheaper and out of stock, but you won't do a whole lot better for anywhere that can get them.

Obviously you could get a cheaper tire, but I said the stock tire.

Acceleration, instant torque at the wheels, and weight (they tend to be heavier than comparable cars).

EDIT: I drive like an old woman so my tread depth isn’t unusually shallow.

I think most EV drivers are just over driving the car and the extra 1000lbs wears out the tires faster. That said the loudest tires I have had have been 200 tread wear performance tires at the wear bars.

Luckily for you, these don't exist anymore without heavily modifying ICE vehicles, which only an extremely small minority of people do. So sounds like you are wanting to solve a problem that doesn't really exist
