What a shitshow. I can’t see how anyone that actually cared about their kid could have them enrolled in an EBR parish run school.
Yea frick you. My kids go to EBR schools and I obviously care about them.

Two brain cells could have figured out that this would have been better to discuss over the summer. Idiots

I forget how useless this place is.
As others mentioned the magnet programs are excellent. My kids love their schools and the environments are excellent.
But you’re all correct, I don’t care about my kids.

It's because EBR only gets 20% more funding per student than the good white school districts which is racist.

Why don’t you care more about your kids? Come on man

If you really cared about your kids, you would get them the frick out of the LA public school system and put them in private.

And they want you to trust them. They want you to put MORE money into the system so they can misuse it.

please slither back into your laughable Woodlands tract home you simplistic imbecile. The local adults are talking here, and are addressing an issue that doesn't concern you. Buffoon.

Maybe they could as to borrow some of that Ukraine money to get EBR worked out.

So I’m not allowed to have an opinion because I don’t live in Louisiana?
Posted on 8/20/23 at 9:05 pm to JasonDBlaha
Youre most certainly allowed (and encouraged ) to participate in a discussion when you are educated, invested, or involved in the topic at hand. Regurgitating what you think the board will agree with in order to get some upvotes does not qualify.

My clients are schools, and I am always amazed at how many days off/early days they have
It's insane. We found out our staggered days a few days before we started. One of B's best friend was supposed to go for his second day tomorrow. But his mom found out late thursday he needed to go Friday instead because they don't want kindergarten there tomorrow. Sucks for the parents who planned work around the schedule THEY gave us.
We also started 2 hours late his first day because it was storming. I'm like I grew up in MT and never had a snow. It's a little rain. They will be ok.

Don’t they get La Purchase and WIC?
How many ways do taxpayers have to feed them?

Actually, EBRSS has announced parents can swing by and pick up breakfast and lunch.
Must be nice to be on the dole and get all sorts of free shite in exchange for your slavish political fealty.

Because the bridge too far for parents was a slice of toast, an egg, some butter?
Horse shite. Plenty of "poor" people have satellite dishes, smoke cigs or have Hulu, etc.

With extremely limited exceptions, the "poor" in this country have zero concept of true poverty. Most of them would qualify as rich in any third world country and would be Middle class in most other countries.

EBR has a milage rate of .43 which is considerably less than Zachary or Central. The district has a lot of issues; however, a high tax burden for residents isn’t one of them.
