I think GW would say its about right based on the two party system, and how everyone is either an extreme liberal or an extreme conservative these days and both sides say the other side is insane and stupid and wants to take over the world.

The hero worship of the founding fathers is dangerous because it's a diversion from actual arguments. We should be trying to make a great nation now not worrying about what a bunch of irrelevant people said a long time ago. You can learn a lot from studying Socrates but you wouldn't make legislation based on his teachings.
