Not to go Poli Board but I can't forgive Smokey for trying to ban food trucks by passing an ordinance when he is the owner of George's.
At least be a smart scuzzy politician and get one of your buddies to propose the Ordinance. Not Smokey, he just tossed it out there with a IDGAF attitude even though the conflict was outrageous.

Yep. Also, he is one of the primary landowners responsible for the fact that I-10 goes down to one lane coming off the bridge. He didn't want to have to move Georges to allow them to add the extra lane. Since, he had the clout to stop that from happening, he basically made sure the project gets killed every time it comes up to avoid moving his shitty bar.

The idiots at DOTD won't add one lane to one side without adding another lane to the other side. It's a packaged deal. Basically, they refuse to do anything unless they do the whole thing. So Smokey continues to make sure there's enough resistance to the whole thing so nothing happens.

They shouldn't spend any money on that project until a loop is complete... but that's just my opinion and that's a different thread entirely.
