Who is this mystery candidate?

There is none. There's not even a mild conservative in the race. There's a black democrat candidate, an a-hole club owner candidate, and potentially another a-hole bar owner candidate. There's no "conservative" in the race in any way.

Delgado has my vote.

I'm not sure why all the butt hurt directed towards him but I think he's done a pretty good job.

Incidentally, I opposed St. George. Bring on the down votes.

Why don't you pay attention to a bigger cluster frick and his bullshite Save BR Water campaign. Wants to tax the ever loving shite out of big water users along the industrial corridor up 61 and 19 in EBR parish for a THEORY of salt-water intrusion on the aquifer.

He's got that fricking sign up in front of Georges. frick him for that.

And plus, I'm a fan and friend of Delgado! Geaux Delgado!

I was in favor of St George but still voting for Delgado.

Also, he is one of the primary landowners responsible for the fact that I-10 goes down to one lane coming off the bridge. He didn't want to have to move Georges to allow them to add the extra lane.
WTF? Georges is almost two miles away from where I-10 comes off the Miss River bridge. Georges is under the interstate on Perkins Road which is past the LSU lakes.

That's not a theory, it's a fact. He exaggerated the shite out of it and attributed that fact to the wrong people, but it is a fact.

Must be thinking of Crooked Georges aka Georges Place. That's not even under that side of the bridge either.

I mean we do have a salt-water intrusion issue into the aquifer. Not really a theory.

I don't know where Smokey stands on the issue, but I believe he is against.
Smokey had a St. George sign on his Highland Road George's location.

The theory was in the numbers and the EFFECT on the aquifer. and it's total horseshite to suddenly tell exxon, basf, the paper mill, and about 10 smaller industrial sites you're paying 100-300k more in taxes for water now.

I know we do but the theory lies in the blame on industries along the bottom of the thing when it spans so far. There's no proof that these businesses are making it worse.

Well they use a significant amount of the water from the aquifer...

and they pay for that water just like you do to water your grass. But until something(person/group/study) proves it affects the salt in the aquifer, that's bullshite to demand these industries pay 1000% more taxes OR re-source your water to the MS river and pay for all the infrastructure and filters yourself.

The plan was to widen I-10 by a lane in either direction from the 10-110 split all the way to Acadian. The businesses around the Perkins Rd. overpass area (including George's) fought it.

Dude. Throughout that fight. I would get on his FB and disagree with him and pick on him for growing up in St George and GOING to St George then Catholic, never spending a day in class with us at Jefferson Terrace/Mayfair/Kenilworth/Woodlawn.

I can disagree with someone on an issue but support them overall to run the city.

The funny part will be if that happens, to see if he will invest in something himself in NBR.

I'll be watching for that as well. The effort seemed genuine. But if he opens some recycling center or Dollar stores there, I'm gonna give him shite for it.

I still believe the EBR School System needs to be split up into 4 to 5 smaller more neighborhood-oriented districts. With the ability for the residents in those districts to levy taxes on themselves to support any improvements/growth.

Then according to Delgado the colossal douche, you sir are a terrorist. Time to break out your hijab.

Delgado is one of the worst humans in all of Baton Rouge. He's such a bad example of what a human should be.
