Conservatives are too 'murica to give the metric system a fair shot. It's a shame cause it's far superior.

Again...healthcare uses metric for everything
1 inch = 2.54 cm
1 kg = 2.2 lbs
As a nurse you have those conversions memorized

28g=1oz
I don't want to talk about how I remember that

I have to use it all the time at work anyway

Just messing with you. As a plant operator that works in a plant that is all metric, I have the conversions memorized as well (volumes and weights mostly)

Fine...since you want to be an asswipe
Those in the medical field should have these conversions memorized.

Temp conversions always still mess me up though. Used to have a card on the back of my badge with a chart to easily reference.

Thanks for the downvote. Wait, are you a nurse?

To me, it sounds dangerous that you rely on both, you could screw up and give wrong dose

I was just about to post this

if God would have wanted us to have the metroc system he would have given us ten fingers and ten toes

Temp conversions
That's the easiest. Water boils at 100, freezes at 0, human temp is about 38, and -40c is -40f. Remember those, you can guestimate the rest

I had a sleepless night on a euro train one time and came up with this......Celsius to amurican.....double the Celsius temp, subtract 10% and add 32.....works out perfect.

Nah we go by metric for temps in our charting and med orders for antipyretics are normally based on celsius as well. But family members don't know what 38.5 Celsius is so we have to be able to tell them the conversion or know the conversion if they are giving it to us in farenheit.

Yeah but I need to know the difference between 37.8 and 38.9
Most doctor's orders for antipyretics are to give when temp is greater than 38.
