Live PD Spinoff - You know anyone that's been on a "Cops" Show? - theantiquetiger
Friend at work was on "True Stories of the Highway Patrol" in the 80's. He got a DWI but it never went to court, he got off clean. He was pulled over, took off running, and they catch him about 30 minutes later while trying to call his sister to come pick him up at a store a mile down the road. ...
Marklin, probably 2 gauge. Marklin is very desirable, though some nice Marklin at a recent auction didn't do that well.
I went through my Photobucket acct, I think these were the Marklin light posts. ...

re: OT Toy Collectors - Do you keep your kids' toys? - theantiquetiger
As a garage/estate sale picker, toy trains is one of the toughest things to come by. I once paid $500 for a pre-war Lionel train set and landscape (pretty basic). I knew very little about it but figured I could possibly double my money. Come to find out, there were two cast iron street lights t...
My kids have every lego I ever bought.
That is one toy that does appreciate in value (or hold value) better than most other toys, if you keep the box, instructions, etc. I nearly bought a Limited Edition "Ghostbusters" station and Ecto One set at the Lego Store in Disney Springs...

OT Toy Collectors - Do you keep your kids' toys? - theantiquetiger
I use to be an avid toy collector, mostly 60's-70's toys (from my childhood). I got rid of my collection before I started collecting LSU memorabilia. Who here collects toys and do you keep your kids' toys for their future collection? Everyone says they wish that their mother didn't throw out ...

re: How many times have you been summoned for jury duty? - theantiquetiger
I have been summoned three times and served in the jury on two of those. One was some guy trying to sue EBRP school board for millions, we didn't give him a dime. His lawyer was the cheesiest person I have ever met. He tried like Hell to get us (the jury) info we were not supposed to know about...

re: What is your max time you will wait for a table? - theantiquetiger
Do you get mad when they have a wait but have a whole section with open tables?
No, because as a former restaurant manager, it is better to let a customer wait in the lobby than wait at a table. I managed a fairly nice steak house in Atlanta 20 years ago. We had a rule that a t...

What is your max time you will wait for a table? - theantiquetiger
We just left Sammy's (got there before the rush), the wait when we left was one hour. If I'm eating with my family, 15-20 mins is max I will wait. If it's just me and the MsAntique, one hour if we can sit at the bar, enjoy a drink. This is only at nicer restaurants. ...
