Well, in 1956 or 57 I remember the Nuns at St. Agnes saying we would be converting over eventually
I guess it is true

They tried to do it in the mid 1960s, not doing it then was a huge mistake.

Don’t you mean
“how long until the rest of the world gets it shite together and uses our system”

I’m all for it. Would make math a lot easier for many people out there.

And the people who went to the moon.

Well, considering they've been trying to do it since the 70's, I'd say not in my lifetime.
It does piss me off that many US cars have a mix of metric and standard bolts on them in their assembly. Pick one or the other for crying out loud and stick with it. That shite is maddening.

If you're ever on I-19, you'll see signs in the metric system.

Was supposed to happen in 97. Much easier to use but too many Americans don’t feel they are smart enough to learn it. Should have happened years ago.

How would it make math easier?

It's really all about penis length.
Most men feel comfortable with 6 inches, and quite happy with 8 inches. But let's convert that to metric.
6 inches is 0.15 meters. And 8 inches is 0.2 meters.
It's pretty clear the metric system will never catch on if your penis size always starts with a zero.
