Damn. I know some people that do that. I never considered how long it would take.

Dude, rent half a double around South Lakeview (Labarre area) close to your school, safe, easy to get everywhere.

Mid city around Orleans, again close to your school, safe, easy to get everywhere.

Bayou St. John (across from American Can) nice. Not as close to school, safe, pretty easy to get around.

Old Metairie and Goodwood area are going to be expensive, IMHO.

I lived in the Marigny the first 2 years I was here and loved it, live uptown now and love that as well. Mid City is hit or miss IMO.
Better looking women Uptown and its not close, the hippie/artsy fartsy types are fun but meh looking.

I work in Metairie and live uptown. I'm mostly sober when I drive to and from work so I'd rather have that drive further than my walk/bike/ride to the social scenes.

When I lived uptown I tried to get to Claiborne as fast as possible. If you have to use Tchoup or drive out from the heart of uptown it's horrible.

Between the shitty roads, lack of multiple lanes, and apparently, people who get behind the wheel of a car without a planned destination, I want to turn my car into a battering ram.

Move somewhere better than NOLA. NOLA is a wonderful place to visit but living in Denver full time kicks the shite out of NOLA

Definitely Mid-City over Uptown for you. It would take me 20 minutes to drive to LSU Dental (I'm guessing this is where you're going)

This opens up all of Lakeview as an option, IMHO.

Yea, I don't think I could live in Metairie either. Not sure that I'd like Mid-City as much as Uptown either, but that seems most feasible to me. If it was just a drive downtown, it wouldn't be bad. It only takes us 7-15 mins to get downtown for work/school.

Yeah. That's why I listed Lakeview but that area seems kind of boring. I'll be busy with school but still want to live in a more "city" area and not in a "suburbs" area ya know?

Outside of Parlays it's pretty boring.

mid city is pretty suburban itself. With just less defined boundaries. if that makes sense
