If you got money. Move to the warehouse district. Unlike upt and lakeview. The roads are nice as well as the property.

Great job everyone.

I'm honestly surprised I got this many good answers lol. Must be because a lot of people on here actually like NOLA

23. No wife, No kids. I want to be comfortable but also want to enjoy the "city life" I guess you could say? I'll be in grad school though.

Warehouse District, French Quarter, or Marigny. Everyone should experience living in the FQ for at least a couple of years.

we are considering it. Told my wife to ride around out there the other day and she was impressed. I just gotta get off my arse and start looking for something. I hate buying a house and despise moving even more.

Yes. In lakeview, everything is boring besides Parlays. No culture. The houses are bland. The people are meh. Stay away.

no doubt, my wife and I lived there for a few months before we had kids and it was awesome.

But I was ready to move back uptown. No way I could live there permanently, or even for a short time with kids.

I would become the biggest drunk ever if I lived in the quarter.

And what is the deal with people complaining about the houses being bland in Lakeview? I guess comparted to the 100 plus year old houses in some of N.O. maybe they are, but we aren't talking about northshore cookie cutter houses either.

Going there this weekend...
I won't be the biggest but it won't be from lack of trying.

Very much. I'd live in Lakeview over Midcity if I had kids and shite. Or if I was a generally boring person.

i don't understand who people think live in midcity.

there's a ton of older folks/couples, and younger families

mixed in with mexican and black shitholes

Yep.

It's Metairie with Orleans Parish taxes and crime. LV people are the worst, for the most part.

Mid City is literally house to house not street to street. My Dr buddy off Carrolton has a crack house across the street.

Do it. Been in Lake Vista 4 years now and my only regret is that I did not move there when my kids were younger. It's the only place in the city a kid can grow up like it is still 1975.
