I always unhook mine when not in use. Just an extra 6 inches on the back of truck to have to worry about.

Seems like most baws just leave it there and let it rust stuck

Leaving your hitch on is trashy

On the truck yes, on the Jeep no.

I do. Saved my bumper when some idiot rolled into me at a red light. Dented up their Mercedes good. No damage to my car.

No. It causes problems for me off-road.

Last time I took it off I left it on my bumper. Stays on all the time now

Mine stays in. I got rear-ended a couple of times and enjoyed added protection. Fricks up the other car pretty bad though.

Same here. I had a pretty large one on my first Jeep. After being in the car when my sister rear-ended a pickup and he had no damage, yet it nearly destroyed the front end of her car, I decided I'd leave mine on all the time.

I leave mine on. This summer I was pulling my boat at least twice a week, and this winter I'll be pulling my four wheeler trailer two or three times a week. Put a locking pin on it, and forget about it.

Mine stays on all the time. The little plastic-nosed cars don't stand a chance against it.

Yep. It's an extra few inches of protection if some chick in a civic decides to rear end me taking selfies or something.

Mine has been on for 9 years now. Never touched.

I've been rear ended twice and not a scratch on my truck but their front end was damaged.
