Right after basic training. I was 5'9" and 154 lbs. Ran my last 2 mile PT test in 14 min 10 seconds. For reference, going into the army I was 220 lbs.

I wrestled in Maryland
I do not know my stats but I can tell you there is NOTHING that gets you in shape like wrestling.

The last 2-3 years have been the mots in shape I've ever been. Age 22-24. Granted all I do is eat work workout and go to sleep. 5 day splits for 1hr 15 minutes won't happen once I get out school.

Right now I sit at 5'9" 187-190 at around 8%. Bench is 225x12, squat is 315x10, deadlifts are 405x5.

No way I maintain this much longer. I'm starting to ask myself wtf am I training for.

But I get what you are saying

Honestly just looking to someone that lead an active running/cycling lifestyle to see how they think know it affected their body. So many try to say running is just horrible for your legs, but I don't know of anyone personally who has injuries from running. Now, football, basketball, etc.....everyone has a knee injury. People claim it's horrible for your joints but I see countless 50+ year olds who look to be lifers out at races and such.

I'm still young (~31), but I've yet to have a serious ache, or ever felt like anything I was doing was tearing down my body.

I've been slacking the last few months, but burned 1000 calories today and it wasn't even hard. I just don't want to give up on this lifestyle and it's weight control benefits (i.e. me eating whatever I want)

Corps boot camp, went in 6' and weigh at 149. 12 weeks later, I was 175. Got into Recon about a year later and went up to 200lbs.

Now 59 years old and weigh in at 170lbs. But all my life, I always kept very active which is why I'm still alive today even in heart failure.

Is it weird that I've never peaked because I've never pushed my body in thiz way?

I am more built for hiking long distances and hiking up mountains.

That's something that you need one extra muscle for...brain.

I ran a 1/2 iron man and about 15 other Olympic size triathlons. As well a few 1/2 marathons, that was a 3 year phase I went through

Right now at 40, cleaned my life up, in better shape than at 20. 5 day a week gym is part
of my recovery. The day I check in my BP was 187 over 120.

97 out of 100 on army PT test. Perfect on push ups and sit ups. I'd stop doing them when I got to whatever the max score was and could do more than that. Hated running. Could never max it out.

I would say 19-20, at 5-11 205. Worked for a delivery company during the day and worked out a good bit. I could easily rack back 12 sacks of flour on a hand truck, tote them into a store and stack them without getting winded. We delivered on 48' Tractor Trailers stacked from front to back. Sometimes we had to strap the hand trucks to the back of the trailer because we didn't have a place in the trailer.

I'd do that 6 days a week then come home and work out. Worked out on bench with 235, leg press 540, squat 315. Ran a 5k in under 25 minutes..... miss those days.
