Exact reasons I'm getting it. They can run forever like a Toyota if you take care of them. Or so I've heard.

I had an SUV at 90k before some a-hole ran a stop sign and totaled it.

0 Maintenance done other than oil changes, tire rotation, new air filters.

Anyone else have a 100K mile vehicle with zero maintenance done to it?

I'm going to jinx myself but;

2006 Toyota Tundra
125,000 mi
Other than oil changes, new tires and their rotations, alignment, and new brakes. I've replaced the battery once.

Nothing else.

2003 Ranger 188k miles, replaced a water pump I thought was leaking but turned out to be a hose going to the thermostat housing. Just normal wear items and fluids. Replace all fluids every 50k miles.

2000 F150. 65k miles, nothing outside routine maintenance but header gaskets and supercharger belts.

I just got rid of a 2001 Camry with 276K miles. I never did anything to this car except change the tires and oil. Best car ever. I drove it for 5 years - my oldest son then drove it for 4 years and my youngest son drove it for another 4 years. Great car. Definitely got my money's worth.

I love it when people complain about new vehicles and get on a "they don't build em like they used to" spill. You damned right they don't. They're exponentially better. They have much more power, get better fuel mileage, last longer, are easier to work on, and will save your life in a crash. I'm gonna chalk that one up in the better column.

QFT.

Cars in the 70's and 80's sucked. (Yes, you too, Honda)

Bad rings, rust everywhere, crappy emissions.

Anything built today should go 100K easily. (Except Range Rover)

I am on my second Honda Ridgeline PU. I put 190,000 miles on the first one ('06) without any repairs, mainly because i am religious about maintenance. I gave my son that truck and he has put maybe 40,000. Same story.
My second was a used '07 with 29,000 on it when i bought it.I am approaching 100,000 miles that I have put on it since. Same story: no repairs. Still running the hell out of it.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4, 111K on it and no problems. I take pretty good care of it though. Oil changes on schedule, regular tire rotations, annual checkup and maintenance at a 4x4 specialty shop.

'm at 50K with my Toyota Tacoma. 0 maintenance besides your normal oil changes, tire rotations, and alignment.

154K on my 97 Taco. Replaced starter, windshield washer reservoir and an idler bearing due to major malfunction, well past 100k though.

Just traded in my 2000 Tacoma at 248,000 miles. Had a few problems right at the end, but the first 240,000 miles were virtually maintenance free

They should be better in every aspect given their cost.

Take off the blinders old timers. Old vehicles sucked.

Old crash videos will scare the hell out of you.

Those cars folded up like tin cans b/c that's what they were.
