re: NOLA "Les Miles's experience w/ Hurricane Katrina forged a bond w/ Louisiana" - LSUCouyon
"les miles is a football coach; he is also a human being that makes mistakes. on the balance, I, as an LSU alum, feel damn fortunate that we have les miles as our HC. he has and will continue to positively impact many young men of our state. he also wins lots of football games." You hit it on the...

re: Anyone hear about a black panther in Bush, La - LSUCouyon
Don't have time to research it but I remember he stated that there were no big cats in the stafe and that fired me up because I had seen one just the hunting season before in Concordia Parish. It crossed a large power line Row about 150 yds from me . I had it in the cross hairs but did not and would...

re: Anyone hear about a black panther in Bush, La - LSUCouyon
I beg to differ with you. Around 2001-2002, I read An article in Ls. Sportsman written by an LDWF biologist that flatly stated there were no such creatures in La. He made the statement that most of the sightings had come out of a beer can or whiskey bottle. I called his office and he never returned ...

re: Anyone hear about a black panther in Bush, La - LSUCouyon
I agree with your post. I have seen 2 Pumas, panthers, Cougars, mountain lions whatever, neither of which were black, they are here no matter what LDWF insists. ...

re: The redfish world lost a great man yesterday... - LSUCouyon
Sorry to hear of your loss. I have some wonderful friends I fish with and can't imagine losing them like this. Prayers sent. Something to think about: if I had to depart today, while fishing would not be a bad way. Also, hats off to the tournament guys for how they reacted....

re: you can pick two charters in Key West - LSUCouyon
If I ever get back to the Conch Republic, I will do 2 things at least 1. Go tarpon fushing w/ dreamcatcher and 2. Do the Dry Tortugad trip. Dreamcatcher a may have that also. I know they have bigger boats than the bay boat we were on. ...

re: you can pick two charters in Key West - LSUCouyon
Just read this morning. Webfoot already told you. Dreamcatchers Capt."Hollywood " was great. We did a backcountry trip which was the mangroves north of the keys . Also fished south early. Great time! 6 hour trip for 2= 550. Add tip. Good tackle and great guide and boat....

re: Me and this beauitful creature crossed paths today - LSUCouyon
I know what you mean. I've worked or hunted in the woods for most of my life and been close to many snakes. I've been struck 3 times; one cottonmouth, 2 copperheads. Didn't get bit, thanks to boots or leggings but pretty unnerving. I used to kill rattlesnakes but realized they are pretty laid back...

re: Trindon Holiday as defensive end - LSUCouyon
I always thought TH would have made a good center. No way the nose guard could block him EVERY down because of his quickness. And think what a devastating block he could put on the LB the times he got thru the NT. ...

re: Saw an able bodied man practicing with a crossbow yesterday - LSUCouyon
Didn't video it either but long about s004, I killed a 6' garfish with a cajun anchor by "harpooning' it to death. Took about 4 shots. Lot easier to handle after that. ...
