re: Spinoff thread: What's the best "deal" you've gotten on a firearm? - LSUCouyon
I got screwed on that pistol, but I was just ignorant then and bought it on a whim, having owned only one other pistol in my life before that. I hope the paper plates don't get any lint in the action to cause a jam........

re: Delacroix trip - LSUCouyon
I doubt Payne or Thomason's crews will go to the rocks. Bayou Charters is more into reds anyway. I'd love to catch limits of both, but I'm good anyway....

Delacroix trip - LSUCouyon
So a bunch of us are going out of Sweetwater Friday and Bayou Charters Saturday. Any recent reports? Isaw a report or 2 on great redfishing, but it seems the trout are down. Any one??? Forecasts show great weather, but I wonder about what all the fresh rain water may do. Any thoughts? Thanks in ad...

re: Cooking Redfish - LSUCouyon
Going this weekend and THIS is how I plan to cook my next redfish. " CASHEW-GARLIC BUTTER: I have marinated the fillets in Tony's seasoned olive oil for several hours.Add lemon juice while cooking. That came out great. The cashew-garlic sounds like something I would like! ...

re: Daiwa Tutula Reviews - LSUCouyon
I found a really nice daiwa 6'6' spinning rod out of a bargain barrel at simmons. Put an Okuma reel on it and took it on a trip south recently along with 2 Okuma rigs. Caught a lot of crap from my buds about the Daiwa, but i tell ya, I enjoyed it's action more than the 2 okumas and caught just as m...

re: Spinoff thread: What's the best "deal" you've gotten on a firearm? - LSUCouyon
About 15 years ago. I scored a Loricin .380 semi-auto for like $100 at a pawn shop...... Oh, wait. probably not the "best" deal, huh? I gave it away. That may have been the best deal involving that pistol. I just remembered: I paid about $125 for a like new Black synthetic 12 ga 870 back in the m...

re: Waited all my life, finally got in a red tide - LSUCouyon
Mrs. Couyon and I were on Sanibel Is. last September and chartered a trip with Capt. Pabon. We got on 1 school twice. It is truly amazing to see how fast the schools work. We would get ahead of them throw into the school and catch, release then swing wide and get in front again. Just my luck: the d...

re: If I were forced to hire people at $15/hour minimum... - LSUCouyon
sure, then move out of my palatial mansion and into a 1500 sq ft house. Either way, it wouldn't not be worth doing if my clientele isn't there....

re: If I were forced to hire people at $15/hour minimum... - LSUCouyon
I would venture to say that if you were paying everyone of your employees $15/hour to make fries and burgers, your fries and burgers will cost too much for you to keep your clientele. Just a thought....

re: Looks like the cops may need some of that heavy weaponry afterall - LSUCouyon
Here's an idea: Show evidence on TV of the rioters in Baltimore "dissin" the Motorcycle gangs. Escort all the Bandidos, Angels, Cossacks to Baltimore. Move the cops to the perimeter of the city. Let em all die....

re: What percentage of ski boat or jetski operators display good etiquette? - LSUCouyon
My favorite story about getting along on the water involves some guys BBQing on a house boat. Joe cool and his friends thought it was funny to pull a skier close enough for him to spray them when he went by. They yelled at him and the dumbass did it again. I can't imagine how that 12-oz full bottle ...

re: Pound for pound, who is the bigger badass, an alligator gar or - LSUCouyon
Yeah, he was sorta pissed. He was gruntin while sayin it. Sounded like Jimmy Houston. " UNHHH, Oh Unh , gerin on de WALL." The beast is pulling his drag and turning the boat around. "GERIN ON DE WALL!" You and Grady could hear me laughing when the Wallhanger surfaced. Going myself with my Av...

re: Pound for pound, who is the bigger badass, an alligator gar or - LSUCouyon
My Mom would cut up a gou in thick steaks with the bones, brown the trinity and flour the fish and simmer it. It makes it's own gravy, but don't stir. It is delicious on rice. Cooks out white with a nice texture....
