Every 27 club member. But of those Hendrix. The world only knew about him for what? 3-4 years? HE may have just flamed out. I believe Janis would have. But he may NOT have. He may have just scratched his surface. Wrap your head around that.

Morrison was about used up. And The Doors had put out a ton of material in a short time. He either dies or their music goes to shite and they break up. No other option I believe.

John Bonham too. His death deprived us of what Who fans got to enjoy. Their most important shite was long recorded. But they could be touring TODAY if they wanted to. Scaled down shows maybe after years of arena shows.

What he means is Who fans got to grow old with the band. Bonhams death did not allow Zeppelin fans this opportunity.

No mention of Jim Croce? He's near the top of my list. I think he still had plenty to write about when the plane went down/never really took off in Natchitoches.

Jesus, he could have worded it a little more clearly. Either way, Bonzo died when LZ was clearly on the decline of their career. It's not like they cut a hit record and he was found dead the next day. LZ had a ridiculously good run.

Decent list.

Burton and Hoon for sure.

I don't like including suicides on these lists.

van zandt
Holly

Hard to narrow it down from the remaining:
Jim Croce
Gram Parsons
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Keith Whitley
Jimi Hendrix
Sam Cooke

Can this even be counted as before his time? He made the decision to die when he did.

The two biggest IMO are
Hank Williams
Otis Redding
Both are known as the kings of their respective music genres.

Whoever said Keith Whitley
