Lol, that word doesn't mean what you think it means
Lol, so it doesn't mean lacking sharpness or quickness of sensibility or intellect? Misdirection rarely comes during the denouement. When Ford says he understands now how and why Arnold was trying to free them. When he says h...
Honestly didn't read much on the show til after the finale because of the bull shite on here.
Maybe if you had contributed to the weekly discussions, you'd be less obtuse now. You were shown and told a redemption story. If you can't believe it, don't get upset when someone implie...
How so?
The conversation in the church when Ford says he realized that Arnold was right, but free will could not be forced. It needs to be an organic journey (30+ years) The explanation of how it took 500 years before someone realized that the shape of the human brain existed ...
Cross reads "Dolores Abernathy"
I saw a diagram on the delos website that was a flowchart of the processing of dead hosts. It looks like the host undertakers bury the dead hosts, then the receiving workers grab them from underground. ...

re: Westworld S01 E09: "The Well-Tempered Clavier" - Socrates Johnson
I think Teddy's dead. I thought of the "you're not ready for Wyatt" thing as him reaching a dead-end in the maze to help explain Dolores' flashbacks and re-living experiences....

re: Westworld S01 E09: "The Well-Tempered Clavier" - Socrates Johnson
I think Ford is still hiding a few things
I think we may see a battle of the back-doors. It seems that Ford's back doors are more direct and coded, while Arnold's are more organic and maze-based. Probably a parallel to their old conflict staged in the present day. Conflicts to...
How am I being obtuse by pointing at flaws in the storytelling that I percieve?
You're pointing out a perceived single flaw in a world that has AI and synthetic living tissue for God's sake. Your perception could just as easily be the other side. Just suspend the disbelief on thi...
still am wondering how they're going to show how she got thrown off her loop the 2nd time)
I thought it was implied that she got thrown off the same way every time at her ranch with Rebus(there isn't a gun/there is, she gets shot/she doesn't)....

re: Westworld S01 E09: "The Well-Tempered Clavier" - Socrates Johnson
Mauve is a color. What makes you think Dolores got those clothes from some dead person? Dolores lives on a ranch. Is it crazy to think she may have a pair of clothes she keeps in saddlebags or something? I suppose it's no more crazy than holding out hope for something against mounting evidence...

re: Westworld S01 E09: "The Well-Tempered Clavier" - Socrates Johnson
I think she's made journeys several times (without William). Each time getting a bit farther, then dying a different way (at the hands of the bandits at the farm, in a river, cut open, etc.) We see her remembering these in the present day....
Is the big maze reveal going to be that William (MIB) was right 30 years ago and that Dolores really is "different"? Is he going to realize that they have the capability of full consciousness just as Maeve gives this ability to the army of "robots"? I am hoping for something more
...

re: Westworld S01 E09: "The Well-Tempered Clavier" - Socrates Johnson
Maybe so, but whenever Arnold is telling her to find the maze he is sitting there with her in that lab. Why would he tell her to find the place she's gone to a bunch of times and how would that make her free?
To test her memory, which he considers to be the cornerstone of conscious...
