As have I. This is an 8 episode show on Sundays where nothing else is on where Season 1 was an all time favorite for me and others. I dont find it odd or bizarre that there are a number of people who arent enjoying this season but will continue to watch in hopes it gets better

This.

And IMO, it has been getting incrementally better, so I will continue to watch.

There is a fine line though between getting it out quick enough to piggy back that momentum and too quick that it hurts quality.

That makes sense. Seems like S2 applies to the latter.

I just want to say that I called out Woodrugh as gay in the E1 thread and almost got laughed off of the board by a few people.

Me too, bro. And I thought it was so completely obvious, but these bozos needed it hand-fed to them... I am apoplectic. Apoplectic, indeed.

It was not completely obvious.

It was obvious that was a possibility, but it was just as likely to be PTSD or sexual issues from being molested or something like that. I didn't even argue the point on here, but I remember reading most people saying that it was just too early to tell what was his issue.

It became obvious in episode 2 with his over the top "gay bashing" of a bank teller and brooding stare of the gay male prostitute.

I agree that it wasn't obvious

I merely said it appeared that he was gay and I got jumped on

Someone even said something like, "Were you even watching the episode"

You sound apoplectic, also.

I was actually being facetious as everyone was telling Croaka, me, and the others who thought he was gay that it was "obvious" he was not gay and it was only PTSD and I believe someone even tried to fling poop at me.

"You can't be half a gangster Nucky". I'm waiting for VV to realize this and start going balls out.

VV's wife needs to get naked.

It's no season 1 but it's ok and getting better. I think the perverted sex tape stuff will become more prevalent soon. Kitsch needs to do something because right now his character is pretty useless.

LSUPride, sorry for being a dick on the previous page. I thought you were insinuating that people who have enjoyed season 2 so far were dumb for doing so. Lol my bad.

Compared to how I felt last week, this season isn't bad. But it's not great, either. It's not going to live up to Season 1 and I think we all knew that/know it now.

This episode was better. I felt like I got a better sense for who stands where and how events are beginning to affect each group. So, it seems like there's a plot now (find Caspere's killer before the other competing interests). The problem remains that it's not a terribly interesting one. By all accounts, Caspere was an old dude into kinky shite and crooked government. With Ferrell magically surviving a point blank shotgun blast (could of been full of black eyed peas and it wouldn't have mattered; people have died firing blanks that close to themselves), the body count remains at 2 bad guys. I mean, there's some level of intrigue just because it has turned into a serial killing (burning out the eyes) but there's no real threat to me as an audience member. Basically, don't be a crooked cop or corrupt politican and you're good. The show is basically asking me to root for a bunch of brooding people from the state police, the crooked micro-city, and a small time mob while they hunt down a vigilante like the Punisher or Daredevil.

All in all, it's at least going in a direction now. But the direction isn't very good and neither is the way it's being played out. I'll keep watching, but it's to the point that I'm going to have to set an alarm on my phone to remember to do so. It's just not arresting TV (likely for all the reasons mentioned throughout this thread - rushed writing, drop off in directing, etc.)

I agree completely, I think what a lot of people who are bashing the show don't realize is that the sweatshops/ porn aspect has not come into play yet, although it surely will.

Not a fan of Kitsch's character either, but his "Is that a fricking e-cigarette?" line had me laughing last night

Agree.

Season 1 went after innocent teenage girls to torture and sacrifice and was legitimately creepy/scary for those reasons. I give no shits about the "victims" in this season.

Pretty sure this season is going to ultimately be about the victims' victims.

I"m glad you mentioend that....what was the point of htat line? I mean there was no followup punchline, and it ended the scene as RA didn't say anything back. It felt really forced and kind of awkward.

Totally agree! And I am not really one to watch and critique everything, rather just enjoy it for what it is. But that line at the end of the scene was weird, especially when the e-cig was not really in the picture. I actually thought to myself, "Was that an e-cig?".

Falcoro (?) was making fun of her e-cig the last episode.
