The trial portion is comically bad. There will certainly be some Trial Ad classes that can use this for an example of what NOT to do.
The prison stuff is pretty bad too.
This show is all around off the rails, but I'll watch it through til the end.

So many people were defending this show a few weeks ago. It's good to see some of them have seen the light. It's pretty terrible.

It had so much potential. That first episode was fantastic.
I started losing interest after the feet episode.

I laughed at the holding cell kiss with the lawyer. The dude is on trial for brutally murdering a woman and they would routinely lock him up alone with a female lawyer?
Are we supposed to believe an entire cell block at Riker's is monitored by one guard in a control room?
No way a high profile inmate like Naz would just be wondering around a Riker's Gen-pop cell block. He would be in protective custody no matter what. Also I cant understand why they would take him to Manhattan Court House everyday and then bring him all the way back to Riker's. Why not just house him in a cell in Manhattan?
Before Uber, NYC Cab medallions were going for $1.32mm each LINK /
The trial sequences are garbage, this show had so much potential and it is just falling flat

I hope no one reads this thread before watching because you guys are brutally tough. If I hadn't seen it, I'd think the show was terrible and it's certified fresh at 95%
I continue to enjoy the show week to week, and I look forward to seeing how it finishes up next week. I think the father in law is way too obvious at this point, but I'd still love to see that prick go down.

Holy hell is it horrendous.

I just want this damn show to end so I don't have to watch it anymore....

I wonder how it got 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
9.1/10 on IMDB and 90% on Metacritic

It's low 80's at best IMO. I think the high score is due to the "examination of the justice system." And I'm not one of those guys, I just can't think of any other reason why it would be that high.

I think the production value is pretty high... It's the only explanation for the 95% fresh.

Everyone is delivering but the writers.
Lines are being delivered, sets look great, city seems spooky, casting is good, and so on.
It's the writing that's glaring. Not sure I've seen it work out that way to such a degree.

to a lesser extent you can say the same thing about TD1 (and TD2, but the casting was a bit off). the writing was easily the worst part of TD1, although nowhere nearly as bad as this.

Is it odd that the inhaler is blood free?

I have a feeling that deer mount has a camera inside of it. If that actually happened that would be the cherry on top for this show.

That would be the ultimate cop out, so I fully expect it

the kiss in the cell made me laugh out loud
I don't think that was the intended affect the writers had in mind

Yeah I was cringing and saying "please, no" over and over as it was about to happen. Followed by a chuckle and "no way" as it was happening.

No it would actually be a great piece of evidence for the defense to cast doubt that he was the one doing the stabbing. But you know, feet and all.

The trial is primarily silly because IRL there would not be surprises like the 2nd student he injured. Everyone would have been deposed I would imagine.
In this trial they did no depositions as far as I can tell.

I really like this show, I see I am in the minority on that.
