re: Netflix gets Martin Scorsese 'The Irishman,' set for release 2019 - abellsujr
Just found this. Appearently De Niro will be de-aged by cgi. Not sure about the other actors. I thought I heard on the radio that him, Pacino, and Pesci all would be through a lot of the movie. Interesting.
Robert de Niro with director Martin Scorsese on the set of "Raging Bull". de Niro will ...

Is this the film that's going to use cgi to de-age the actors for a lot of the movie?...

re: "Glass": Unbreakable & Split's sequel is coming - abellsujr
Split really was a brilliant concept by Shyamalan. Love this idea and I hope it remains on the extremely violent and scary path already established....

re: Lion King remake casts Seth Rogan and Billy Eichner as Timon and Pumbaa - abellsujr
Please tell me you're joking.
He was in talks last I heard. Kevin Hart was also approached at one point. I'm also not thrilled about that, but at least Hart has legit comedic talent. At least IMO. Either way, I'm not too thrilled about the direction of the Aladdin movie. ...

re: Lion King remake casts Seth Rogan and Billy Eichner as Timon and Pumbaa - abellsujr
The Will Smith as Genie news was far worse, IMO. While being a beautiful movie, Favreau didn't really have much of an emphasis on the musical numbers in The Jungle Book. That appears to be the case with The Lion King as well. Disappointing, IMO. ...

re: The ending of Hell or High Water (obvious spoilers) - abellsujr
Ben fosters character was the least sympathetic. He just started unloading on cops at the end
Definitely the least sympathetic character, but I still couldn't help feeling bad for him in the end. This essentually was a "down with the big banks" type of movie, though. The bank was...

re: The ending of Hell or High Water (obvious spoilers) - abellsujr
Also, the movie seemed scared to paint Chris Pine as a definitive bad guy which is bull shite.
That's because he wasn't supposed to be. If there was a "definitive" bad guy in the movie, it was the bank. Some may even say Ben Foster's character, who you end up sympathising with in the end...

re: Logan ***Spoilers*** and Review Thread - abellsujr
Great fricking movie. There are times when comic movies need to be fun and colorful, but in Logan's case it works in it's dark world. I've been waiting 17 years to see Wolverine in action scenes like that. Great story and real emotions. Great send off for Jackman's Wolverine. 9/10....

re: Emma Watson as Belle...uh... - abellsujr
I thought they could have made a better casting choice, but I also didn't hate her in the movie like a lot of people. I thought she did a fair job. I also completely agree that she looked damn good, and that probably helped make up for some of her shortcomings....

re: ‘Batgirl’ Movie: Joss Whedon to Direct Standalone Film - abellsujr
This is another good get for DC no matter what movie he directs. I was not a huge fan of Age of Ultron, but I know there was a lot of studio interference in that and the first Avengers was a fricking blast. I would have wanted to see Whedon do a Superman movie, but if Matthew Vaughn gets that gig and...
You're kidding yourself if you think this movie would have made less with another lesser known actress.
I have to agree with op here. The movie would still have made a killing obviously, but having one of the main characters in mo-cap cgi and the other one an unknown would have aff...

re: WB picks David Goyer to write the "Green Lantern Corps" film. (Updated) - abellsujr
Just when it looks like WB is making some good decisions, they go and pull some shite like this. Let sleeping dogs lie. Move on from these people involved with the past DC projects and bring in fresh eyes. This news and the Matrix reboot garbage is pretty dissapointing stuff coming out of WB. ...

re: Official Saban's Power Rangers Movie Thread - abellsujr
I'm really liking what I'm hearing from this movie. The responses have been very good, but I'm still reserving judgement. It would'nt be the first time I've seen good early reactions from what ended up being an incredebly disappointing movie. Never forget: [link=(http://screenrant.com/batman-v...
