re: Is Nicolas Cage an all-time great actor? - 632627
And from that previous thread on Murray vs. Cage. Cage is better. Murray just has been in more critically acclaimed films. Cage covers Murray's entire Wes Anderson portfolio in Adaptation, for which he got the nomination.
Also agree with this 100%. Murray is one of the greatest c...

re: Is Nicolas Cage an all-time great actor? - 632627
He has also been in a lot of terrible movies and kind of makes a mockery of his own career. But, that should not take away from the good work he has done.
Agreed, cage has been in some really bad movies and his off camera persona are 2 huge factors why most people fail to take hi...

re: Car buying preference: 3 year old luxury car or new ordinary car? - 632627
by yellowfin Certified is a marketing gimmick
The primary benefit is the extended factory warranty that comes with the car. It is also nice to know that the car has gone thru an inspection and has met a threshold of standards. No way I'd buy an out of warranty German luxu...

re: Car buying preference: 3 year old luxury car or new ordinary car? - 632627
Nothing is more satisfying than driving off the lot in a brand new car with a three-year warranty
and for this reason, i prefer leasing. i don't drive a ton of miles, i don't mod my cars, and i like to have a new car every few years so leasing is perfect for me. one thing to keep...
Just in my area I found two e350's for under 30k with less than 30k miles. Granted, I don't live by you guys. But I'm sure u can find them
Those aren't certified and the factory warranty is probably expired. ...

re: Car buying preference: 3 year old luxury car or new ordinary car? - 632627
Depends. Will the 2-3 year old luxury car be a certified pre-owned? If yes, then I would consider it. What new ordinary car are you considering?
No way can you get a certified 2-3 yr old e class for 30k. For that price, cpo, best you can do is a C class(which would be an outda...

re: Car buying preference: 3 year old luxury car or new ordinary car? - 632627
The only issue with a German luxury car is cost of maintenance. The oil change/services aren't that bad because they are every 10k miles or so. What hurts is the major repairs, they can be really, really expensive. That being said, by purchasing a used luxury car you skip the huge initial depreci...

re: Inheritance what to do - 632627
also, would it make sense to pay my house off or just continue to pay the note? Seems to me no brainer to pay it off. Owe about $150k at 4.75% interest. Have about 20 years left on 30 year note.
forgive me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't refinancing the house be a viable option?...

re: New North Carolina Football Uniforms (Good Job Nike) - 632627
They are better, but they should have stuck with these.
I remember back in the later part of the 90s, even though North Carolina football was for the most part irrelevant, a bunch if people had a unc #12 football jersey (it was a running back, forgot his name)...

re: Let's do this. Bill Murray vs Nic Cage. Body of work - 632627
When Cage is on, he is better than Murray. He has an Oscar, and should have another for Adaptation. He was outstanding in Joe. His problem is that when he mails it in, he is the worst.
agreed 100%. cage vs murray is an apples to oranges comparison. if the question is ...

re: Let's do this. Bill Murray vs Nic Cage. Body of work - 632627
i think overall body of work is definitely murray, however you could probably argue that cage's best performances(leaving las vegas and adaptation) are better than murray's best....

re: Will there ever be a sports lineup that comes close to CBS Dream Season 1990? - 632627
CBS ruled sports in the '80s, NBC the '90s, and ABC to an extent the early 2000s. Now it's spread around pretty well without one network dominating.
ehhh i'd say its still abc/espn/disney thats dominating. nbc has nothing, fox has some baseball and 50% of nfl, cbs has the other ...
